This card is interesting because of its first attack Shadow
Steal. What it does is for one COLORLESS energy, it does 50
damage times the number of special energy in your opponents
discard pile. This at first seem kind of meh, but then you think
about what decks it could fit in. Any deck running a pokemon
that can discard special energy, hammertime, and then sometimes,
this card is still good without those things. Because usually in
a battle against the ever so popular deck: T/D/K, it gets a lot
of special energy in the discard pile. Sure, they can use raiden
knuckle, but in the end game, this card can just sweep through
their entire field. Doing just massive amounts of damage. Some
of my friends and I even nicknamed this card the “janitor,”
because it sweeps T/D/K/, like a janitor sweeps the floor.
This card is very powerful in the right situation to say the
least, but it still is clutch in those games. But while you can
hit them for massive damage, it only takes 1 blizzard burn to
knock out your Drifblim. And that may be the only thing you
could attack with, so then the game just falls out of your favor
and just like that you could lose. So it also has a large risk
factor involved in playing it. So that could be another turn off
for players thinking of playing it.
For Drifblim’s second attack: plentiful placement, there just
isn’t much to talk about. For 1 psychic and a colorless you can
drop 4 damage counters on 1 of your opponents pokemon. That
isn’t very strong, especially for a stage one, that uses a hard
to play type of energy that also requires two energy to attack.
The move is just really bad overall.
Another bad thing about running Drifblim is having the lone
Drifloon with 60 HP that could get easily donked. That is pretty
bad if a card you run to help your matchup against a certain
deck can get you a loss against it turn 1. So, that is another
thing to be careful of. If I were you and were running Drifblim,
I would also try and have a list that could always get out two
pokemon out of your starting hand so that you can’t get donked.
One good thing about running Drifblim as a tech, and being able
to use it is that you can force your opponent to do the 7 prize
math, making it harder for them to win. This card could also be
combined with the Drifblim from Megalo Cannon/ Plama Blast, to
make a complete T/D/K counter deck. (Link to card here:

Another good thing about this card is that it only has 1
retreat same as its previous evolution Drifloon. This is very
good because then people can’t catcher it up to stall while they
set up. That’s also good because if you need to stop attacking
with Drifblim you can just retreat with the one energy it was
using to attack, and still be able to attach for that turn. So
let’s move onto the pro’s, and the con’s.
       Pro’s:
Hits for large damage for 1 energy.
       Only has 1 Retreat.
Can trade well with Ex’s being a non-EX.
Only takes up 2 spaces in a deck to tech in.
Psychic type, so it can hit for weakness on Mewtwo EX, or Deoxys
       EX.
It was printed in a blister pack, so it’s a little bit easier to
find instead of just trying to pull it out of packs.
If your opponent knocks it out, you could force them to do the 7
       prize math.
       Con’s:
It’s a stage 1, so it has to survive a turn first.
Only has 100 HP (this could go both ways, but for the matchup
it’s good against, this is bad.)
       Has a dark type weakness.
Only works if your opponent has SPECIAL energy in the discard
       pile.
       Donkable with Drifloon
       Risky
With the pro’s and the con’s of this card listed, it may have
changed your original thoughts. This card is great against
T/D/K, or any other decks that rely on special energy. But, it
sucks against anything else and is only 2 dead cards in your
deck. I would give this card a 6.5/10 Because of playability and
HP problems, but if your deck has a tough time against T/D/K,
and you have the space to fit this in, then I would definitely
       recommend adding it.
