       For others, we are facing a new great popular movement: the
       peasant and worker masses have finally risen up to overthrow
       neoliberalism and build a new Peru. A year and a half ago I
       wrote an article about the fantasies of extremes in Peru2. Much
       of the narrative that now tries to define what we have in front
       of us continues to be colored by them, now more like nightmares
       or dreams. In this article, I will explain why I think both
       blocks are wrong again. But also why part of the center, which
       interprets the demand of the Constituent Assembly as a "whim of
       the left", is also not understanding the nature of the outbreak.
       I also discuss what horizons the Peru that is being forged in
       the heat of these battles may have.
