After Juleka's prayer, T'boch served everyone a stew bowl, with
a generous piece of rye bread.
"About the goblins," he started as he served, "remember that
they're intelligent creatures. Evil, selfish and sadistic, but
sentient." He looked at Juleka, expecting a reaction. Then he
continued :"There are two tribes in these woods. They usually
keep to themselves or war with each other, but since a few
tendays, they started attacking caravans and homesteads. Last I
heard, each tribe was maybe 40 to 60 adults. The job posting is
from the collectivity of home owners and of a few merchants in
the region. They want the raids to cease, but do not care how.
They're offering 250 gold pieces for the deed, and a bonus of
200 for every month without a raid, up to a year."
T'boch scratched his chin and took a mug of his own, downed a
long one, and started cleaning mugs and glasses.
"You should be able to handle a few goblins. What I'm concerned
with is the rest. Most of the way will be through hills and
plains, forest and swamp. Then you need to get in and out, which
no one reportedly suceeded in doing. But then's the fun part.
You need to go all the way to Arfalda, up the north-eastern
coast. The best way to do so from Little Frost is to push
straight north through another set of forest, bogs, swamps and
plains, until you hit King's road. Follow it east to the coast,
you will pass numerous villages and towns, all the way to
Arfalda. Dordan lives in a scholar's retreat off town, you'll
find instructions in Arfalda to reach him. Any questions?"

As shin spent the evening in his room he doesn't know any of
this, however he has set himself to fight with a few creatures
and look for information whilst he is at it.
He needs to know.

I enjoy the meal and drink with little regard to etiquette or
manners. After all a commoner at heart.
"Any idea why the usually reclusive goblins have started to
follow the example of their cousins?" I ask with a mouthful of
bread half eaten.

Forhrlit listens intently as she slowly eats her stew and drinks
her ale with purpose.
"Goblins," she breaths. "Filthy creatures", in an emotionless
half whisper.

"Well then, let's make our way to these woods, and see what can
we manage to do about this goblin problem." "Who's coming
along?" "Oh, and T'boch, do you have anything you could lend us
in the way of aid or supply?"

"Well, no, I don't know much about goblins. Maybe a shift in the
war between the clans? A new chieftain? Your guess is as good as
mine. As for aid or supplies, I can sell you some rations, but I
can't give you much free of charge. Money's tight, you see...
I'll tell you this, since it is late and I have spare rooms up
there, I won't charge you for them. I only have two, though, and
you're four. Or five, I think the halfling meant to go with
you."
Even then spoke up and offered to sleep with the dwarf, leaving
the two women in their room.
"Good idea", replied the barkeep. "I'll have a week's ration for
you five, including some feed for the mule, ready for dawn. I
may even throw in this old keg of ale. It's almost too old,
anyway" and he pointed a superficially molded keg behind the
bar. "You should all go to sleep now, get good rest before your
journey."

Conga finishes his stew and ale, and heads to bed upstairs in
the room, modestly appointed with two double beds, a small table
and chair, and a wash basin. A single window, with a crack that
was obviously not one of T'boch's priorities to fix, as it
appears to have been glued together, to possibly hold a bit
longer, rather than having the glass replaced.

"ALL RIGHT!" I say excited < and yes, no alright, but allright >
"We're gonna have a blast tonight! oh oh and tomorrow morning
too!" as I say this I pass an arm behind Forhrlit's neck and
bringing her closer to me "You'll see ma'girl, It will be fun!"
showing her a bright smile I gulp the remaining of my dinner and
drink "You just tell me when You're ready to go upstairs!"

Forhrlit winces when Juleka puts her arm around her and chokes a
little on her drink but tries at a small smile toward the
cleric, "Fun, yes, how..how interes...Nice. How nice.." She
turns her gaze back to the bar and rolls her eyes with a
slightly frightened look on her face.
"I think I'll be off to bed now actually," says Forhrlit nodding
her thanks to T'boch. She grabs her pack and heads upstairs.

As Forhrlit and Juleka went to bed, the few patrons in the bar
left for the night. T'boch the innkeeper started his midght
chores. The noises he made intertwined with the sound of the
city, a melody none of our adventurer would hear in a while. The
straw mats were confortable enough, the rooms clean and the
snores of Even were loud. What was the first night of their
adventure went by easily, peacefully and our adventurers slept
well.
