"Duvahnku was a reclusive cult of necromancers, assassins and
torturers devoted to a man-made-god, Duvahn. I do not know the
details, but their mountain went silent nearly 500 years ago.
Apparently, someone thinks they're dead, for their pillaging and
abduction raids have stopped, too. Since little is known about
them, a scholar by the name of Dordan Ivory-Horns took an
interest and will pay well for the fetching of any relic or
(un)holy item linked to Duvahnku. Of course, the job offer has
been placed in inns all over the region, so I can't guarantee
you would be the first to come back. But I am certain of one
thing. At least 20 lads and lasses went from my inn, and I never
saw their face or heard about them again. The scholar, Dordan,
at first offered 50 platinum pieces for every relic. I heard it
went up, 235 platinum each relic. If you are intent on going,
head west on the road until you are at Durham's gates (about 4
days walk), then turn north, through Frostbite Canyon. When you
emerge from the canyon, you should be 3 days away from Little
Frost, their mountain. The whole trip might take you between a
tenday and two, depending on your traveling speed. And yes,
master dwarf, you will pass through the West Woods."
Looking at each of them in turn, he could not decide wether they
were confident, foolhardy or simply stupid. Though the girl did
make quick work of Benzel, and she was by far the least
       imposing...
"Give Benzel his last rites and I'll tell you how to contact
       Dordan, if you're decided."

"Well, if we're heading through the West Woods anyway, I suggest
we clean up the goblin problem first, collect what reward we
may, so that we may properly equip ourselves for the longer
journey that lay ahead" Conga peers at his peers (sailors
included), "What say you, friends?" "I've not had goblin blood
upon my boots in a bit"

Shin glances at the questioning Dwarf.
       In a slow monotone
"I do not need to equip myself"
"However I could do with the practice and this would be easier
       with more combatants"
Shin nods once at each person, sneers once and states "We shall
leave on the morrow, I will retire with all the food and water
my silver coin will buy and prepare my pack for the journey"

       "If killing is a way to protect life in the end, I'll help you;
if killing the goblins doesn't benefit the cycle of life then
I'll just protect life, yours included of course" I say with a
smile although this isn't as warm as usual (I hate killing when
it's unnecessary, sadly some of the small races are too chaotic
to reason with, leaving little choice in order to protect a town
or community) "now, if you excuse me. Gelbez won't get prepared
       for his burial alone"
I take the body of Gelbez somewhere else to clean it up, remove
the blood, dirt, tidy up his clothes, put him on a
sleeping/praying position, close his eyes and do his hair
"Was he a practitioner of any faith? Maybe we should get a
priest here to perform the rites he'd like" I ask the other 2
       sailors

Forhrlit returns to the bar and tells T'boch politely she will
have a stout and some stew when it is ready and also a room. She
tells the others that she will also be ready in the morning.
"I know I owe you, Mr. T'boch. You not involving the guard an'
all. I'll try to bring something valuable back when ah...if..I
return. If I don't you will ever have my gratitude.."

The two sailors were taken by surprise, both by Conga's
       invitation and by Juleka's question.
"Ahem", coughed one of them, "I never saw him pray or
anything... Anything will be fine, with the life he's been
living, he'll be grateful to have a grave! But you know, I feel
very bad for letting him, hell, encouraging him in these ways. I
owe you one, I think. I'll go with you, if you will. I used to
be a caravaneer, and not bad with a sword. I just have to take
my things on the ship, and I'll be ready."
He then faced Conga: "I'm Even Gustavson. Pleased to meet you
all." The other sailor stared, shocked, then just moved away,
       having heard enough.
During that time, T'boch told Shin that his meal wouldn't be a
problem and Forhrlit that she was welcome. He poured her a stout
pint, then went to check on the stew. As he came back, he
announced that the stew was ready.
"I'll serve those who want some, refill your mugs and tell you
about the goblins, Dordan and your journey."

Forhrlit shifts a little on her bar stool and seems to look
towards Even. From behind the bar T'boch can see a dark gleam
under her slightly furrowed brow form beneath her hood but it
quickly fades as she shrugs her shoulders and returns to her
drink. "That stew smells delicious, Mr. T'boch," she says in her
       usual subdued monotone.

Conga beckons Even to join him, letting him know that he will
escort him back to his ship to gather his effects. Conga then
perches himself upon a stool, and digs into the (salty) stew,
listening to T'boch debrief the group on the goblins, and
Dordan, and what may lie ahead.

"Well then, If he truly had no fixed set of beliefs I guess I'll
give it a try!" I say confident in myself (I cannot fail, I'm
guided by The Light, this will be a breeze! Now...how did the
ol'priest used to go? Oh! Yes, yes!)
< I cast Thaumaturgy to make my eyes shine, the light around us
be enhanced and pure; and to make a chant-like humming to sound
       around us >
"Holy Light, calling thy name I am, the Protector of all you
have created, we raise our hearts to you today for those who
have passed out of this mortal life. In your loving mercy, Holy
Light, be pleased to receive them in your heavenly company, and
forgive the failings and faults they may have done from mortal
       frailty.
For all the faithful, new and old, who have died we pray; but in
particular for those dear to us, parents, relatives and friends.
Nor do we forget all who did good to us while embraced by life,
who helped us by their prayers, sacrifice and example.
We pray also for any who may have done us harm, and stand in
special need of forgiveness and repent, else retribution be done
       upon them.
Kindle a light in our minds, pour love into our hearts and
uphold with your unfailing strength, the frailty of our mortal
       nature.
Drive our enemies far from us and give us always the gift of
peace; so may it be that, with your grace ever guiding us in
this way, we may avoid all that is sinful.
O Holy Light, I humbly impore you, be with us always so that in
all things, We may act under the influence of your holy
       inspiration"
< After finishing the prayer I close my eyes and release the
       Thaumaturgy effects >
I place three gold coins over the table and speak to the sailor
(before the other one goes away)
"These coins should secure this man a place in the graveyard,
with the rest order a grave for it, if any remains, get flower
       to be placed over it
< if they mention anything about the money I reply with:
"Riches I heed not, nor man's empty praise, thou mine
inheritance, now and always: thou and thou only, first in my
heart, oh Holy light , my treasure thou art." >
After finishing with the rites I try to get access to the stable
(poor Mikaela she's surely cold and tired), maybe a room and
take plenty benefit from the food and drink that comes our way"

Shin spends the evening in his room in meditation, having a
simple meal of dry bread and water. He packs the rest of the
dried bread and meat into his pack and fills his waterskin
leaving a small amount of meat on the table with a little water
       for in the morning.
Shin sleeps fitfully, dreaming of assasinations and blades in
       the dark.
