(I Dunnae like this...everyone is so tense...can't help but feel
tense maself...)
"Let's keep calm Mikaela, we'll be out of here soon...a large
bucket of oakmeal and some carrots are in store for ye, I
promise"
(as soon as we reach town...I need a warm bath and hot
company...I can't wait to be out of these rocks...poor Mikaela,
I'm sure she's having a hard time too)

"She was called Salty Sofia", replied Even to Conga. "She
angered at everything, but boy would she be a beast in bed!"
Even continued to tell that story for a while. Despite your
unwavering attention to danger, you do not spot anything
threatening... wether living or moving, anyway. The insidious
cold stung even through clothes, and as night fell, frost was
forming on the ground.
You found an alcove in the ravine to set up camp and Even
arranged for a fire. Good thing about the ravine was the lack of
wind. Even went close to Juleka and Forhrlit to keep warmer and
share blankets. The mist had returned.
The next morning felt like a winter crispy day. Very cold, with
blue sky and faint sun. Of course you couldn't see the sun from
down there. The getting up and leaving the alcove was hasty,
everyone wanting to get the blood moving again.
As Even was (again) telling a story, Shin caught movement by his
right side. Turning to face it, he fell into a crouching stance,
to witness a most incredible thing: the mist had gathered in an
humanoid form, with very clear outlines. The figure approached
the halfling by gliding. All this happened while Shin was
opening the march, so everyone saw the figure glide towards the
monk.

Shin remains in stance. Prepared to attack at the slightest
provocation.

Forhrlit approaches with haste and stopped short of Shin's
position ready to spring if the creature attacks.
She growls under her breath beginning to feel the battle lust.

I stand tall over the cart, holding Mikaela to a stop < and
readying in case it will be needed to rein her to stand her
ground >
"Halt there being of mist, state yer intentions or be considered
hostile. We prefer not no be forced into combat, but be wary
we're ready and Willin' to defend ourselves if tha need arise!
My name is Juleka Forester, avatar of The Holy Light! No further
warning shall be issued!"

Conga hefts up his weapon, and positions himself between Juleka
and the entity, prepared to defend the party from this...
whatever it is. If need be.

In a deep voice seeming to come from all around you, the mist
being says: "You are trespassing. Begone from my home. We do not
want your death. We want our mourning to be in peace and
undisturbed."
The being raised its arms in the air and spoke a few words in a
strange, flowing tongue. It sounded somewhat musical, like
elven, but relied more on intonations of vowels than on
consonants.
You immediately feel warmer, almost comfortable.
"I granted you safe passage. Please do not remain on the
premises. I can see you have questions. Please make it quick."

Shin says "I have but one question. Are we heading the direction
of (the town we are looking for)?"

Conga will relax a bit, though not lower his weapon. He is at
peace, for now, though no less vigilant.
