Chapter 2 - Northbound

As noon just passed, our adventurers set out from Durham's gates
to the so-called Frostbite Canyon. It is a 2-days march to the
mouth, and 3-days through.
Even climbed on Juleka's cart and took his harmonica in his
hands, started tapping his foot slowly and took up a slow yet
happy tune.

Shin is going to spend his time, during the day patrolling
around the group through areas of shadow, from time to time he
will venture nearer to the group and just let them know that
nothing appears to be following us and we seem safe for the time
being.
He will continue to do this as long as we are travelling.
While he is wandering through the trees though nearer to the
party he will occasionally throw a dart or two to keep in
practice, he will retrieve each dart before he carries on his
patrol.

Forhrlit sits by Juleka on the cart and hands her the small
pouch with the braclet in it and gives her a small kiss on the
cheek.

A little surprised by the robbery I was victim of it calmed my
concerns th arrival of Conga and the rest of the gang so I was
able to pay the rations.
"thank ye guys"
I load all the things on the cart and get going.
"Let's get going folks we still have a long road ta go!"

"Awww ye shouldn't have, thank ye! I definitely needed one...my
last gut stolen" I reply her kiss on the cheek with a deep one
mouth to mouth "and don't cheap out on the love, it's better to
give love than hatred"

Conga is rested, and ready to go.
(sorry about the short post, I've been away from home the past
several days, but don't want to hold up the group) I'm home now,
and will get back into game on the next round. Also, I'll plan
on updating my character sheet sometime today, to reflect my new
spell, hit points, etc)

Forhrlit nudges Juleka and tells her to open the pouch. --
Inside is the silver bracelet i wrote about earlier on that
Forhrlit bought with the stolen coin originally in the velvet
purse. Up to Game Master how much if any coin is left after the
whiskey and bracelet if any-- *GM edit* 13 gold coins and 3
silver coins are also in the pouch */GM edit*

The journey up north was going along just fine for the few days
to Frostbite Canyon.
After two hours on the third day, said Canyon was in front of
you, though was unlike what you were expecting. The road ended
quite abruptly, and after following the small path it had
become, you quickly came about a cave. A sign marked its
entrance: "To Frostbite Canyon". The air was chill, even for the
day's temperature, and an eerie light radiated from in there, a
cold, blue light, such as winter's dawn.
"Well, I guess this is it!", said Even. "In we go!" At that, he
gently slapped Juleka's thigh but took a second to feel, grab
and appreciate the powerful leg. He then climbed off the cart,
took only his sword and shield and went in first, as he was
strapping his shield and sheathing his sword.

Forhrlit says "Wait!." She looks at Juleka, "I will scout
ahead...I'm the best at this." She frowns at Even and stealthily
moves forward with sword and shield at the ready listening and
looking for anything amiss.
"If you wish to come," she says to Even in a whisper, "cover
me..."

someone stole my coinpouch!"
------- at the cave -------
I look around uncomfortable at the cave entrance.
< would Mikaela (The Mule) and the cart be able to continue the
trip through the cave? >
As Forhrlit volunteers to scout ahead I just "go then, and may
the blessings of The Light guide thy path and bring you make
safely to us."
< I cast guidance at Forhrlit >
I get off the cart. Unsheat my blade and place it near by <
against the cart's side or if the ground is not solid rock just
on the ground so the blade goes in to have it at the ready > and
don my shield.
"I'm not exactly claustrophobic, but a lone small mountain pass
like this could be trouble... Easy spot for an ambush if you ask
me...be prepared" I put my hand on the shoulders of Shin and
Conga for a moment before taking the reins of Mikalea.

Shin continues into the cave without comment, keeping an eye out
for traps and any creatures who aren't party of our party.
If the cave becomes dark he will use a torch when nessescary but
will also use touch and feel and take things slowly.
He will move with caution and maintain a decent level of silence
