"Have ya guys eaten yet? We have a few extras with us...just
stay clear o'Mikaela...the mule" I return my sword to it's
scabbard
"I'm glad The Light has allowed us to avoid conflict. Perhaps it
shall Illuminate us once more tonite!"
I take a seat and invite the others to do so "Shin, please don't
kill em ok?" My playful tone hides a serious threat and warning
clear for the halfling.
"OK. Zugluk & Dalob...Explain everything to us, we might be able
to help ya" I take a biteful of food to show it's safe and offer
the rest to the goblins.

The goblins all looked up to their two leaders, which looked at
each other. They exchanged a few goblins words, then Dalob moved
forward to join Juleka and Conga. Zugluk did not move an inch,
let Dalob do the talking, and matched Shin's stare. As far as
goblin courage went, Zugluk was brave enough to withstand the
halfling's cold and measured gaze.
"My warriors will stay on the lookout while we talk", said the
shaman. "Those wretched Redmarks may fall on us at any moment."
He took a bite of Juleka's offered food and sat down. At last,
Even got on his feet, face red from laughing, and came to sit
beside them.
"Sorry about that", said Dalob, before continuing his story.
"Long story short, another tribe moved into the area five or six
years ago. They were easy to manage at first, since we had room
to fight, forage and live. What changed recently, we do not
know. Their raids on our encampments came so often that we did
not have time to set up defenses. Their encampments' locations
are still unknown to us, yet they suddenly knew all of ours.
They slaughtered us and our food sources. When I tried to
communicate with them, as we did once in a while, they tried to
kill me. They drove us away from our ancestral zone, and backed
us against the wall that are the civilisations of men and elves.
All we want is to go back where we were and that they go back
where they were a year ago. What we need to ask of you, what
Zorsad the Kind, our chieftain wishes of a kind helper, is that
you either convince them to leave us, or "convince" them."
Dalob let that thought trail for a bit, then looked at each
traveler. Even seemed a bit uncomfortable, but kept his eyes
straight before him. The other goblins were shuffling quietly
and softly talking amongst themselves, except for Zugluk, that
still kept his gaze on Shin.

Shin walks to Zugluk, he stands toe to toe with this creature.
"If you have something to say, say it. If not keep your gaze to
you and your own".
He then turns and walks calmly to
Juleka. "Take care fairy of light, your light has no effect of
me. Keep your tone and attitude in check. There will come a time
when it will not serve you and you'll want my assistance when
the dark is encroaching. You don't want to be on the wrong side
of me."

"And we want is that the rides on the caravans to be stopped
so..." if you guys can make that promise we'll gladly hep you
with your issue. And we all get what we want and need, do you
agree? If so...let's wait till morning and take us to your
sacred place...together we'll drive the invaders back"
"Shin, sweetie, behave will ya?, we're all friends in here"

During all this Forhrlit makes herself scarce and finds a piece
of bread to chew on even though goblins tend to make her lose
her appetite. "Better be some gold in this..." she mumbles to
herself and she can't help feeling discussed watching the
creatures eat on party rations. She shrugs it away as usual.
'Could be worse' she thinks.
'Maybe the halfling and the cleric will get into it.....who
would I put my coin on.?..' she thinks, then chastises herself
slightly for the thought.

"Aye, let's finish resting for a few more hours" (it's already
night, as we were mid-rest, no?) " then head out to your special
spot, and see if we can't get to the bottom of this redmark
issue."
"ummm but first.... could you clothe your naked friend? He
makes our friend here (Points to shin) uncomfortable"

"I agree", said the sailor, already placing his bedroll to
sleep.
The goblins agreed, though Dalob didn't like the idea of putting
on clothes, Zugluk convinced him. They took various positions
around the camp, most of them talking between pairs. Dalob and
Zugluk took a more central position, closer to the party members
and Mikaela. After a little while, everything fell silent once
more, the goblins either on watch or sleeping.
The next morning, the party wakes up to a large goblin making a
racket whilst cooking a large meat hunk. He was arguing with
another goblin and was about to come to blows. Zugluk and Dalob
are nowhere to be seen.
The sky was covered in large dark grey clouds, and the air was
very humid and hot.

Shin keeps his distance from everyone, eats a bit of bread and
dried meat, drinks some water and spends time doing muscle
exercises.
Anyone who comes near Shin is rudely told to mind their own God
damn business and move along.
Shin is clearly in a very bad mood.

Conga rises from his roll, and upon seeing the caster and muscle
absent, immediately questions the large goblin-cook; "Where are
Dalob and Zugluk?" "What trickery is this?!" "Answer me now,
before you feel the weight of my hammer!" Conga raises his
hammer, preparing to strike 2handed (as I obviously wouldn't
wear my shield to bed). If the goblin is a smart-ass, or if
Conga feel he is lying with his response, He will attack the
goblin, despie any pleas of mercy or cessation from either party
(PC or NPC).
