It is AGENT ORANGE AWARENESS DAY
August 10 2026
AGENT ORANGE AWARENESS DAY
Each year on August 10, Agent Orange Awareness Day presents
opportunity to provide information regarding the effects of
Agent Orange. It also serves as a reminder of the lasting damage
a single decision can cause.
#AgentOrangeAwarenessDay
In the early 1960s, Americans used the herbicide in Vietnam to
clear thick foliage from battlegrounds to eliminate the enemy's
protective ground cover. The use of Agent Orange impacted U.S.
troops and the Vietnamese troops and civilians. It cost hundreds
of thousands of lives and continues to impact survivors today.

COMMENT:
My loved one is a widow of Vietnam vet who was exposed to Agent
orange. Later on he took his own life. He was suffering from
agent orange symptoms and to this day his widow is still
awaiting VA benefits. She has provided The U.S. Department of
Veterans Affairs local and our county VA benefit people with all
documents that pertain to where he was exposed to agent orange
and provided witnesses. She's applied over and over with tragic
details, There were witnesses locations and proof that he was
where agent orange was used and medical records.
It's not easy for the widow of a Vietnam vet to have to go
through this lengthy application process. Its super hard. It's
painful for her. I hope I don't offend anybody for using my own
words... I'm not going to sugar coat it or pull any punches, I
will tell you the reality of what our soldiers go through..At
risk of using the wrong words to describe it and To be totally
blunt. He blew his brains out because he knew he was going to be
suffering and didn't want to suffer and go through the symptoms
of agent orange. She found him dead in a pool of blood. He shot
himself in the head. He had agent orange and he didn't want to
suffer the following and he understandably couldn't deal with it
and couldn't take it anymore...This happens sometimes...
...By they way he also was like a genius he had a patent and
helped create first of biofeedback devices ..he designed devices
that monitored body temperature remotely from a distance and
things like that. The government took those inventions.. one
device was called "the puck" and it was like a pill you
swallowed and one could from a distance monitor body stuff like
heart rate, blood pressure, body temperature from it and there
were watches he designed that monitored body temperature from a
radio and stuff like that. Government takes all that stuff and
uses it for war. I still have some of his gear..medical devices
and a toolbox full of patches and sensors and a couple boxes
tons of tiny electric conducers and circuitry stuff. His widow
has some paper ...it's a patent/ blueprints of what he invented.
It's interesting stuff. He was extremely intelligent.
"Those exposed to the chemical suffer a wide range of negative

Leukemia
Multiple Myeloma

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs provides a registry to
help veterans and their families receive treatment. Those with
suspected exposure can receive an exam free of charge from
Veterans Affairs."
