NEW YORK – No quick dispatching of disease investigators. No
televised news conference to inform the public. No timely health
alerts to doctors.
In the midst of a hantavirus outbreak that involves Americans
and is making headlines around the world, the U.S. government's
top public health agency, the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention, has been uncharacteristically missing in action,
according to a number of experts.

COMMENT: Where is the CDC? I guess the American CDC is
commenting to the press on ABC news... "according to ABC news a
CDC official said the federal government doesn't plan to have
the repatriated American cruise shop passengers quarantine upon
arrival in Nebraska ...The 45 day quarantine has been canceled
in Nebraska hantavirus" ..."They canceled the quarantine. So 17
individuals who may or may not have hantavirus are coming home.

P.S. I'm sorry Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, but that's not being
responsible.."may" quarantine is not the same as "must '
quarantine.. people absolutely need to quarantine and mask up if
they even think they have been exposed to a virus for the sake
of others...
By the way I'm sick of the stoicism, the tough guy, macho
attitude towards viruses.. Why are we told over and over not to
worry about a disease? It has the opposite effect to me..
people who keep saying don't worry obviously are trying too
hard to control other people's emotions...what's wrong with
worrying and being concerned over a virus that mutates, has an
incubation period and has some pretty heavy health repercussions
like death and is contagious!? It's a rational fear
..what is wrong with rational fear? What is wrong with being
rational about something like a bad virus? If it wasn't
something to worry about then it wouldn't have been reported in
the first place...
besides how can health officials say the risk to the public
remains low when it is the public that is catching it!?
...A better question might be why are people afraid to be
concerned and to show aversion towards something that is
inherently bad for them? I am more concerned that people are so
afraid to be afraid that they can't handle or report reality.
There is nothing wrong with the general public people taking
precautions with viruses such as masking if they are concerned
like me. I still don't understand the logic, advice, or intent
or reporting a deadly virus that is hurting people and then
telling everybody not to worry. Who are they trying to convince?
There is nothing wrong with being afraid of viruses!!!! Don't
monitor it and don't report it if it's nothing to worry or be
concerned about! It's ridiculous to be adverse to viruses... I
think we were designed to be averse to suffering and pain.. its
totally natural to get scared at things that hurt people. It is
perfectly natural and acceptable There are people out there that
have the right to be alarmed and concerned over this... They
might end up being right!
You know the track record of health experts: Many of you with
long covid were told it was perfectly safe to go home for
thanksgiving ..many of you bless your hearts have something
called long covid which to this day goes widely unacknowledged..
people were told a lot of things and then they renamed terms
such as break through cases.. they discovered variants .. so
that's what we know that we weren't forewarned about at the time
I'm sorry to report. I don't know how many dictators and
presidents and health officials declared the pandemic officially
over a number of times each year only to find so many of you
having caught covid half a year ago in 2025 and many of you
including children having long covid symptoms and long term
health consequences from a mere half a year ago. Just reminding
you of reality when it comes to prophecy and prediction
Maybe this thing will pass like two ships in the night but maybe
it will be worse!? I just know what we don't know and if we knew
so much it wouldn't have happened to begin with. If they know so
much about the disease then why did it happen to begin with!?
Wear a mask if your scared or concerned like me ..its okay
..some of us are scared and that is totally cool!,
I wear a mask and will continue to because I haven't caught
covid or anything ever since I began masking,
We are all different... I personally wouldn't be more scared of
PTSD than of the disease that might or might not go
viral...There is nothing wrong with taking precautions.. Don't
be scared to be a little scared and don't be scared to take
precautions... Don't be scared of you or the next persons
emotion's... some fears are healthy.. its okay.
If something bad is happening it just seems kind of dumb to me
and insensitive to tell me not to fear it or be concerned with
it... I tell you one thing if I was reporting it I'd simply give
as many facts and factors as possible and then I'd say "you
readers decide for yourselves whether to be concerned or not
over these factors". I'm not going to tell people how they
should feel about it.. that's up to themselves to decide.. they
can figure out how they feel without my help!
Albeit, there seems to be a lack of agreement and some
conflicting news reports.. Rather than simply report facts,
figures.factors. the past and present the typical news and
health advisors seems to dabble in future speculations about
rather this disease is as signoficant as covid or not which is a
somewhat dubious or at least a presumtious prediction...
It seems kind of preposterous to quarantine people or consider
quarantining people if the health experts aren't scared or
concerned themselves now doesn't it? You aren't going to
quarantine people unless there is some doubt in your mind that
the general public isn't safe.
To me, many of the so-called health experts appear to be more
concerned with the subject of self esteem issues, therapy, ptsd
rather than infectious diseases and the ways the public can
safeguard themselves by way of practical means such as with
personal protection gear but of course we shall see what the
future truly holds when it comes...
a non-expert is wondering is this just a sign of things to come?
Even if they contain this virus while it happen on other ships?
Why did it happen to begin with? Is this a sign of the times and
a result of climate change?
Hope my mask doesn't cause anybody any PTSD!,

I truly believe that my views might be different from the
majority because I wear a mask... I don't have to hope the
factors of the virus goes this way or that because I am safe
either way. I'm safe and therefore I don't have to hope of give
percentages or chances or gamble on viruses.. anyway I think my
views are fearless because since I am masked I don't have to
worry or give predictions as much about the future or what
directions a virus takes. There's no wishful thinking to cloud
up my judgement as to whether we should take precautions or not
since I already am. So in my head a bunch of health experts keep
repeating themselves telling everybody not to be scared.. I'm
not scared ..Ive been wearing the mask since covid began here...
they doth protest too much and they are revealing that they are
the scared ones. To a masked person the health experts are
focused on trying to justify whether people should take
precautions or not and how they should feel about it.. none of
these fears apply to a person that masks anyway.
