SUMMARY - The Canadian province of Manitoba say 18 new measles
cases were confirmed during the second week of January, 2026.
There are 4 new measles exposure sites from January 13 through

SUMMARY - Two children have died of measles in the district of
Kashmore (nation: Pakistan). Several children in the area are
still suffering from the measles epidemic.
NOTE - The article states "two more" and other articles online
indicate that two other children in or near the same district
died earlier in the month of measles as well, bringing the total
at least up to four.

SUMMARY - In the nation of Mexico, the state of Jalisco issued a
health alert on Friday (2026-02-06) and mandated the use of face
masks in schools as a measles outbreak hit the state capital, a
key host city for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup. Jalisco is
the epicenter of the outbreak, with 1,163 cases confirmed this
year and 2,092 suspected cases, according to Mexico's
government.

SUMMARY - In the United Kingdom, parts of the city of London are
experiencing an outbreak of measles amongst children under the
age of 10. In the town of Enfield, there have been 34 confirmed
cases with another 60 suspected cases from the first of the year
to February 9th. The vaccination rate in Enfield is presently at
64.3% which is one of the lowest rates in the country.
