SUMMARY - At least 99 new measles cases are being reported in
South Carolina amid the state's outbreak. This brings the total
number of cases in the state to 310. There are currently 200
people in quarantine, according to health officials. The
majority of cases are located around Spartanburg County.

This is an alarming number of new measles cases in this

This is starting to grow faster, North Carolina confirms 5th
measles case as South Carolina's outbreak surges.

SUMMARY - The state of Oregon has confirmed its first Measles
cases for the year 2026. Health officials are investigating two
cases of measles in Linn County. There were two measles
exposures at two hospitals on January 6 & 7, details in the link
below.

Utah: The Summit County Health Department confirmed Saturday
that the first measles case came from an unvaccinated student
attending South Summit Elementary.

SUMMARY - The Philadelphia Department of Public Health (state:
Pennsylvania) is alerting travelers and the general public to
possible measles exposures connected to a person who traveled
through the city last week. On January 7th, the individual was
at an airport, at a train station and on an Amtrak train.

SUMMARY - An infant in the state of Georgia has been confirmed
to be the first measles case in that state for the year 2026.
The infant is too young to receive a vaccination for the
infection. Officials are now searching for anyone who may have
been in contact with the infant.

Big and bad update out of South Carolina. The Measles outbreak
there is continuing to accelerate out of control. 124 new
Measles cases were reported today, with the outbreak total now
at 434 Measles cases. Hopefully something is done soon, or the
US at this past will easily blow past last year's Measles case
count. Note, some of the these cases in this outbreak are from
last year as that is when the outbreak started. We will likely
get a new Measles count update from the US on Wednesday.
