2026 US Sports Illness Thread

This is the 2026 US Sports Illness thread, which will be for the
tracking of illness within sports teams or individual sports
players and will cover all sports. Bookmark this thread in your
browser as it will constantly be updated with any news stories
or social media post regarding illness of a sports player or
even multiple players on a team. Any player positive for Covid
will have their name highlighted, which will link you to their
Covid case information in the positive for Covid archive. Anyone
who finds news about a sports player who is ill can add it to
this thread. This thread is for sports players who can not play
because they are sick or have some sort of illness, and not
sports players who become injured playing their sport.
There may be cases where a player is sick but still plays or
becomes sick while playing that will be documented as well.

Chicago Blackhawks Ilness..
Lines were not run on Friday because several players, including
forwards Nick Foligno and Ilya Mikheyev, were out because of
illness. Vellucci said lineup decisions will be made closer to
game time.

Yet another NBA team struck by illness this time it is the
Denver Nuggets.
According to Brendan Vogt of DNVR, there appears to be an
illness spreading throughout the Nuggets' locker room, now
having struck at least four players on the roster, including
Jamal Murray, which was why he was held out for Denver's latest
game against the Atlanta Hawks.
