       SUMMARY - Unlicensed botox injections have caused 38 cases of
       botulism in the United Kingdom this year. The causes for the
       outbreak range from lax regulation of the aesthetic industry and
       cheap products that may contain harmful substances. Additional
       harm may come to patients because many doctors are unfamiliar
       with the symptoms of botulism and may categorize it as other
       situations, such as a stroke, delaying proper treatment.
