       Chikungunya - China - 2025 Events

       SUMMARY - Chinese authorities urge the public to take
       precautions as cases for the Chikungunya virus now exceeds 4,000
       in the city of Foshan, located in Guangdong province. Other
       cities in the province are also experiencing cases of the virus,
       including Guangzhou, Yangjiang, and Zhanjiang. This year's
       outbreak is considered significantly larger than prior years due
       to the weather and the specific virus strain which spreads more
       easily. Chikungunya is spread through mosquitoes.
