       SUMMARY - (Country: Canada) In the province of Newfoundland,
       there have been 42 cases of pertussis (otherwise known as
       "whooping cough") since early February. The typical number of
       cases for this disease in the same area is 3 to 4 per year. Most
       of the cases are in school children.
