       Lassa Fever - Nigeria - 2024 outbreak
By: Steve Date: May 11, 2024, 2:48 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
SUMMARY - There has been an update on the Lassa Fever outbreak
in the country of Nigeria. There has now been 156 deaths with
857 infected within the date range of January through April 28,
2024. The states of Ondo, Edo & Bauchi have been hardest hit.
NOTE - It is not known why there is a discrepancy between
numbers of infected between the two articles. The difference is
concerning and warrants further investigation. One possibility
is that many of them were false positives but that is only
       speculation.
