       Prevention tips thread?

In looking at all the comments with suggestions for how to
prevent infection that were added to Data Report's video on
needing to visit the dentist -- and in the wake of the CDC's
clear "We're out, good luck!" signaling yesterday -- I was
thinking perhaps it might be helpful at some point to have a
thread where folks can share what is working for them when it
comes to preventing infection. Ie, for things like nasal sprays,
mouthwashes, nasal rinses, and the like, posters could share
which they use, any up- and down-sides, if they have a trusted
source for purchasing, any deals or discounts running, etc.
This would work for masks/respirators, too -- brands, styles and
fit tips, vetted sourcing, fit-testing, discount codes or sales,
       and so forth.
As more people tune out and fewer take precautions, those of us
who care are all going to need to up our games when it comes to
the quantity and quality of our Swiss cheese layers, and we may
be able to help point each other in the right direction when it
comes to filling in the gaps.

After looking at the infographic, the one 'slice of cheese' that
I would add to that graphic would be to only surround yourself
with like-minded virus-cautious people. All it takes is one
person acting irresponsibly to enter that group in order to
       infect everyone.

The 'slice of cheese' I would add to the layer is to
teach/educate all doctors, nurses, staff and healthcare
establishments how to fight their occupational hazard which are
germs by masking and taking precautions and treating everyone as
if they might be seeking treatment for an airborne disease or
illness just like treating every gun as if it is loaded for
       their patient's sake ...

Yet another 'slice of cheese' as to what I'd like to see...
I'd like to see more businesses become more pandemic savvy or
virus savvy and health oriented in terms of masking and safety
       precautions.
I personally think a business that had strict mask etiquette
could stand to make more money and have less employee sick days.
I would think a delivery business that masked and delivered to
like minded customers would stand to do better in the the long
haul than a business that took no masking policy.
Anyway I would be a lot more likely to wave or holler "hi" to a
delivery man in my driveway unloading boxes if he or she was
masked. I might actually be more willing meet people person to
person to collaborate if they were to mask.
My trashmen that collected my trash wore a mask as requested for
a couple times and once a guy wore a mask dropping me off
firewood but they stopped. Its kind of disheartening but I keep
my distance anyway as I don't want anybody frequenting my yard
or feeling so comfortable they create a gathering for others. So
its just as well I don't mingle or create a mingling atmosphere
       even with masks.
In many ways for me it has probably been better people are
uncomfortable with me so they don't frequent the area. I wear a
mask when I go outside and I don't go out front or allow people
to talk to me. One person who gave us a cat wore a mask and I
greeted her because she was masked but even so people are like
magnets to one another so its a lot safer in my opinion to be a
       lone wolf in a mask.
I sort of have two driveways on one end of my property on an
old car with a no trespassing sign in the car window to keep
people from stopping by to offer to buy the car and tree stumps
to block entrance on part of my long driveway on edge of yard.
In front of house I actually block most of the driveway with car
so its too hard for people to park in my driveway. Delivery
trucks park in the road so really only delivery people drop off
things out front and leave promptly without my interference.
Then I in my mask take my wheelbarrow and transport the
delivered goods to the back to unpackage safely to discard dirty
       packaging.
So I know what works for me: I prefer people to not loiter or
mingle at my residence when businesses drop off my goods and I
think most people get the message as I am masked and I don't
wave or flag people down or talk to anybody but at the same time
I'd like to add that businesses that masked like me might stand
to make a lot more money and do better and so I'd like to see
and add masked businesses to the desired extra 'slice of
       cheese'.
       .
