DJ 2020 Manual: Address Book

Starting from top
[list type=decimal]
[li]Delete Customer Button: You can only Delete a customer who
has not been used in the system[/li]
[li]Search Button: This will open the search screen[/li]
[li]Close Button:Closeing this screen will return you to the
main control unless you have used a button or double clicked on
the Customers Name in other objects[/li]
[/list]
Main Form Controls
[list][li]Customer #: This item is required and cannot be
editited Once you add a customer Name the field will be updated
from a function in ModCodeIDFunctions called GenCode[/li]
[li]Entry Type: This item is required Select an item from the
list or add a new Entry Type into the list you will then be
asked if you wish to add it, or you can Double Click the field
to open the Entry Type Editor where you can add one or more
items or delete any unused Entry Types[/li]
[li]Customer Name: This item is required Enter the Customer name
or the persons Name.[/li]
[li]Address Line: This item is required Enter Key will add a new
line[/li]
[li]Town/City: This item is required Select an item from the
list or add a new town/city into the list you will then be
asked if you wish to add it, or you can Double Click the field
to open the town/City Editor where you can add one or more items
or delete any unused Towns/Cities[/li]
[li]Region: Select an item from the list or add a new Region
into the list you will then be asked if you wish to add it, or
you can Double Click the field to open the Region Editor where
you can add one or more items or delete any unused Region[/li]
[li]Country: Select an item from the list or add a new country
into the list you will then be asked if you wish to add it, or
you can Double Click the field to open the country Editor where
you can add one or more items or delete an unused countries[/li]
[li]Postcode: This item is required This uses a postcode format
function fValidUKPostcode I have set it so if you add a number
or a zip code containing a "-" These will disable the uk
postcode chacker[/li]
[li]Email Address: Add an email address if known, If you have
added a email address you can use the button next the the field
to open you default email program and create a blank message
setup for the address in the field[/li]
[li]Website: add a website if known, If you have added a Website
you can use the button next to the field to open your default
browser and navigate to the website.[/li]
[li]Company Type: Select an item from the list or add a new
Company Type into the list you will then be asked if you wish to
add it, or you can Double Click the field to open the Company
Type Editor where you can add one or more items or delete any
unused Company Types[/li]
[li]Short Notes: You can only add comments upto 255 characters
long[/li]
[/list]
Contacts List
[list]
[li]Delete Button: Ths will give a warning then remove the
contact[/li]
[li]Phone Button:This will open the autodialer with the number
displayed Note: You will need to setup the autodialer to be able
to make use of it.[/li]
[li]Phone Type: Select an item from the list or add a new Phone
Type into the list you will then be asked if you wish to add it,
or you can Double Click the field to open the Phone Type Editor
where you can add one or more items or delete an unused phone
Type[/li]
[li]Contact: This is the name of the contact[/li]
[li]Number:enter the full number including country code if
outside your country code[/li]
[/list]
The Attaching Files
Starting from Left
[list type=decimal]
[li]Delete File Button: You can Delete any file record NOTE:
this will not delete the file stored on your computer or
server[/li]
[li]Add File: This will open a dialog where you can navigate to
your file and select it[/li]
[li]View File Button:This will open any attached file if it has
a valid path "I.E. it has not been moved or deleted.[/li]
[li]You cannot edit the File Name, Type or Added by, these are
all created from functions or links in the query [/li]
[/list]
Function Rooms
These values can be Feet or metres
You can only enter numbers and a . into the Weight, Height and
Depth fields and numbers into the capacity field

[li]Room Name: Required What is the room called If there is no
name the you can give ityour own name[/li]
[li]Stage Width: Whats The Width Available[/li]
[li]Stage Height: Whats The Height Available[/li]
[li]Stage Depth: Whats The Depth Available[/li]
[li]Capacity: How many can this venue room hold[/li]

[li]Customer Is Like: You can type part of a Customer name LIke
Data this will return database dreams plus any other that
include Data you can also use * anywhere in between like Da*ba
this would return database dreams.[/li]
[li]Town/City Is: Note you cannot add new items into this list
you can only select items already in the list Selecting this
item will display all entries for the town/city you
selected.[/li]
[li]Region Is: Note you cannot add new items into this list you
can only select items already in the list Selecting this item
will display all entries for the Region you selected.[/li]
[li]Country Is: Note you cannot add new items into this list you
can only select items already in the list Selecting this item
will display all entries for the Country you selected[/li]
[li]Postcode Is Like: You can type part of a Postcode Like CC
this will return any postcodes that have CC as part of the
postcode you can also use * anywhere in between like C*T this
would return database dreams[/li]
[li]Search Button:Once you have made your selection update the
list with the results by clicking this button.[/li]
[li]Search Results List:After you click the search button this
list will display the results of the search by clicking an item
in the results list you will then be taken to that item on the
Customers screen and the search screen will close[/li]
[li]Close Button:To exit without doing anything click this
button[/li]
[li]Additional Information: NOTE: you can select more that one
item to limit the search results this could be: All entries from
a town and also a region, you could if you wanted add/select all
items[/li]
