Can you talk to people you add as friends on there?

1. There's a Common Room where you can post stuff but it gets
confusing really quickly. There's no real structure, it's just a
free-for-all. Everyone can write stuff on the Great Hall's
board, but again, no structure. Friends are cool mostly to swap
ingredients and keep track of your "real" friends.
2. McGonagall's backstory, easy.

Yeah, each chapter has its own tidbits. The "exclusive" stuff,
like backstories and notes about wand woods and cores and
whatnot, you need to "unlock," usually by solving a game or
finding a scavenger hunt item.
