       Gary Oldman appreciation thread
By: The Dude Date: September 15, 2011, 1:59 pm

One of the best actors ever (and my personal favorite Brit
actor), Gary is like a chameleon in all his roles. The actor's
actor has done some of the most prolific roles in his career
apart from the blockbusters Harry Potter and Batman. Which ones
(apart from those two) do you like best.
I loved his performances in Leon the professional, The Contender
and Sid and Nancy the most.

I loved him in "Dracula". I think that's when I first noticed
him and have been a fan every since.
I mean, how can you not like this:

I havn't seen a lot of Gary Oldman movies, but I always liked
him in The 5th Element. [sub]I watched it on BluRay for the
first time a couple days ago. :D [/sub] I also liked him as
       Commissioner Gordon.

Gary Oldman is brilliant, I love him. I've seen way too few
       of his films though.

The Fifth Element is one of my favorite movies. It's fantastic.
But I might be biased since I've watched it since I was little.
(You know how if you've grown up with a movie, you don't realize
how ridiculous it is? That's me with The Fifth Element).
Anyway, that was the first time I noticed Gary Oldman. He's a
       great villain.
I haven't seen Leon the Professional in years, but I remember
being very very impressed by Oldman in that as well.
And I'm looking forward to Tinker Tailer Soldier Spy.

Gary Oldman was also a good villain in Leon: The Professional (I
saw it on cable a while ago). That lead him to be in The 5th
Element. Both movies were directed by Luc Besson.

       Anyone seen Romeo is Bleeding?
Weirdest movie ever, and Gary Oldman spends the majority of it
getting his ass kicked but it's worth checking out just because
       it's so insane.

I didn't know who Gary Oldman was when I first saw POA, since
then I've seen him in so many movies and his diversity is so
awesome. He does play villains well, I particularly liked his
       performance in Air Force One.
I didn't know he was in The Fifth Element, I might have to check
that movie out finally, it looks a little too weird though.
