This is still my favorite book

It's just ... perfect. Which is surprising, because it follows
Chamber, which I'm less enthused about.
The mystery, the use of Chekov's guns, the way it all comes
together in the end, introducing werewolves and Dementors, the
introduction of Lupin ... I still love it, even now.

It's not my favorite, but it's definitely the one where you
realize "ok, these books may have seemed kinda kiddie at first,
but this is awesome

When I re-read it a few months ago, it was so easy to get
through because it was so interesting even though I already knew
everything. It's probably my second favorite behind Order of the
Phoenix.

PoA will forever be my favorite. I remember where I was when I
first read it and my reaction to all the reveals. I loved Lupin
and Sirius and what they meant to Harry. And I remember
absolutely loving everything about the time turner.
I also really enjoyed how the end was different. It wasn't Harry
meeting a random form of Voldemort but instead him learning
about his father and who he is. I remember being 12 and wanting
Harry to live with Sirius so bad and being truly hopeful and
happy for him, only to see it get snatched away. And I love the
end with Pigwidgeon and the permission slip for Harry.
Also, I think PoA changed the game. That was when you realized
every single detail mattered. That nothing was too small to
obsess over and theorize about. Everything was connected and
planned from the start. It broke open all the possibilities of
the series and elevated the first two books.
And as I got older I learned to appreciate and understand the
nature of the dementors. And the patronus. This to me is what
helped me connect to the book as an adult.
Its still one of my favorite books. Not just of the HP series.
But in general.

I agree with what has been said, and it's definitely one of my
favourites. Also, one thing I really loved in this book is the
humour, Jo has a fantastic sense of humour imo. The Divination
classes especially were amusing.

Yes. I love Trelawney. She just cracks me up. And then the way
Lavender and Parvati follow her around and start acting
"all-knowing" was also pretty funny. I also liked Hermione
storming out of class.
Actually, that's something I should bring up. It was another
thing I loved about this book. Hermione starts acting out and
loosening up, which I remember really enjoying. She's my
favorite character so it was fun to see. I know it was probably
because she was stressed, but I liked that she takes initiative,
slaps Malfoy, mocks professors and storms out of classes. And I
also like that with a full load of classes, she still manages to
find time to help Hagrid prepare for Buckbeak's trial.

It is my second favorite. I love how in this one it really
starts off Harry, Ron, and Hermione growing up.
