They said Newlin was missing at the beginning of the season.
Somebody would've pointed out the busted up parking garage way
earlier than that. Is it just me, or did Newlin look way too
excited at seeing Jason naked?

I think vamp!Newlin was probably my favorite "The fuck?"
season-ending twist. Mostly because, I suspect, most people
thought Hoyt was at the door with the rifle or something (I did
anyway). So good misdirection there. I saw Debbie confronting
Sookie coming a mile away (although maybe not Debbie getting her
head blown off).
I also think most people suspected/predicted that Russell would
be back in some form (and Tom's right, Newlin was "missing" long
before Russell would've escaped — the better question is, is the
vamp who made Newlin also responsible for getting Russell out?).
When Alcide answered his phone I thought it was something about
Debbie, she'd tried to commit suicide or something. Then when I
saw him in the parking garage talking to the guard dude, I
thought, "Oh shit, it's Russell!" Odd though that whoever
glamoured the guard glamoured him but didn't kill him ...?
But seeing Newlin was jarring, and then vamp!Newlin to boot.
I might need to rewatch the scene with Bill, Eric and Nan. I
couldn't figure out if she had really ditched the AVL/Authority,
or was entrapping them (maybe they didn't know either?). I took
it that them killing her and the guards was more to protect
Sookie's secret (Bill said he'd kill anyone who figured it out,
to protect her from other vampires), but it could also have been
self-defense-ish, if they thought she'd come to kill them and
was setting them up.
And ... TARA OMG.
This season was probably my least-favorite of the four (I'd go
2, 1, 3, 4) but I do think it had the strongest finale in terms
of cliffhangers and potential plot set ups, not even counting
Andy's fairy nookie from last week. I think my only complaint at
the end of this season is that Jason's were-panther thing went
absolutely effing nowhere, to the point that the entire exercise
was a complete all-for-nothing. I half-expected a jealous
Crystal to show up at some point and for a second even thought
it was her at the door; when Hot Shot wasn't mentioned or
alluded to at all, it was weird to me, unless the entire thing
was just an excuse to get Jason to drink Jessica's blood, but
there were easier/better ways to do that.
And who was the werewolf that confronted Sam? Seems obvious it
was a revenge thing for Marcus. Maybe some of the Mississippi
werewolves are also back and helped Russell escape? So many
possibilities.

I thought the werewolf was Debbie but I just remembered that she
is a white wolf.

Same, I thought it was her and then remembered that she's white.
EDIT: I love how obvious it is that Deborah Ann Woll has a
no-nudity contract clause. That's the second sex scene with
Jason where she's obviously clutching her top/cape/something in
front of her boobs.
EDIT 2: I wonder what the deal was with that vet "friend" of
Terry's.
EDIT 3: I think Bill and Eric should team up, do a bromance
thing and just forget about Sookie. They're both much cooler
when they're not anywhere near her.

Yeah, there was definitely some lingering gazes at that moment.
But I always thought he was gay for Jason anyway.
I'm glad he's back. Jason was at his best in S2 so this should
be fun.

Hahaha her no-nudity contract is so blatant! In one shot I was
fairly sure she was wearing a bra and then the next shot she was
bare but blocked from view.

I definitely got a gay vibe when Vamp!Newlin was looking Jason
up and down. He was looking at him as more than just
food/revenge.
But can't Jason just close the door? He doesn't have to invite
Newlin in. Wait for morning and blow him to bits Franklin-style.
Problem solved.
I can go on longer about other parts of the finale, but I'll do
that in the other thread...
