Season 5 Episode 9: The Dance of Dragons

Thoughts:
1. Jon leading an army of Free Folk looked fitting.
2. Davos and Shireen. Whenever they were together it was always
a nice little scene.
3. Dorne. Loved all the scenes in Dorne this week. Doran was
very well cast.
4. Mace Tyrell gonna Mace Tyrell. Seriously what an oaf.
5. The Pit was awesome. Eye porn forever. Drogon looked awesome.
On the Shireen scene:
1. People are gonna blast D&D and cry about character
assassination, but that felt like desperate Stannis from the
books.
2. Selyse shouldn't have 'broken' character. It felt weird to
see her breakdown, but not Stannis(the one who sorta cared?).
3. Kerry Ingram is going to do big things one day.
I can't wait for the next episode. From the preview it looks
like we will see some awesome stuff.

That Shireen scene was extremely hard to watch, I almost feel
they went a bit far with it, I don't see how anyone could still
be on Team Stannis after this.
Kind of disappointed with the choices they made in Daznak's Pit.
Yes it was all bigger and more chaotic, and drogon looked fkn
great, but I much preferred the book version. Daenerys actually
seemed brave and powerful in the book, jumping barefoot into the
pit to face drogon alone with only a whip, whereas in the show
it seemed much less so, especially when it looks like she just
up and abandons all her followers.
I'm nitpicking a bit, I'm just having mixed feelings on this
one.
Also looking forward to Arya posing as a child prostitute next
week, I'm sure the internet will love that...

Definitely can't say D&D are afraid of controversy.
I never really understood the Stannis hype to begin with.

Never really liked Stannis that much and never really cared for
Shireen but that scene definitely got to me and it was much
harder to watch than I thought it would be..
The few scenes at the Wall were great. excited to see what will
happen in the final episode.
I actually really likes all the scenes in Dorne. Especially the
scenes with Bronn and Tyene.

I like to equate the hardcore Stannis fans to Severus Snape
lovers. Both complete ignore the fact that they do shady and
horrible things and focus on the few nice qualities/things they
have done.
Other than one really badly choreographed fight, I have enjoyed
Dorne for the eye porn and less intense scenes.
