Season 5 Episode 7: The Gift

I love how Game of Thrones always picks up toward the end of the
season. I really enjoyed this entire episode.
       Things that were awesome:
       1. Ghost coming in hot. I'm sorta glad they can't afford to
always have the wolves on screen because it makes the moments
when they are so much more epic.
       Things I Liked:
       1. King's Landing. The Cersei-Margaery scene was great. The
Queen of Thorns-High Sparrow was awesome. High Sparrow arresting
       Cersei was good.
       2. "Egg, I dreamed I was old" Sorta surprised they kept it, but
       I am glad they did.
       3. Bronn singing the Dornishman's wife. With no monologues or
bad action, the Sand Snakes and Dorne put on a decent scene.
Don't know why Tyene had to strip, but whatevs.
       4. Winterfell is shaping up. Sansa is starting to take more
action. She tried to turn Theon on Ramsay. She picked up a
blade. I sense she will be getting freedom/revenge this season.
       Things that were Meh:
       1. Tommen and Cersei. It wasn't that it was necessarily bad, but
it was overshadowed by the rest of the King's Landing scenes.
       2. Jorah calling Dany Khaleesi. Almost made it the whole season
       without hearing it.
       3. Melisandre trying to get Stannis to sacrifice Shireen...I
mean its probably going to happen, but still.
Next week looks like it will have a lot of action. Jon, Tormund,
and the Gang arriving at Hardhome. Edd is probably going to kick
it, but hopefully he goes out in an epic fashion.

It was pretty awesome to see Dany & Tyrion actually interacting.
I hope they have at least one scene together before Daznak's
Pit. I think I can see why Ser Barristan was killed so early
now, there just wouldn't have been time to follow his part of
the storyline with Tyrion in the mix.
I thought this episode was a return to form after the last few
weeks have soured me, I enjoyed every storyline, even
Sam/Gilly's which was amusing to see a 10+ chapter story arc
condensed in 5 minutes, and I have to say it worked just as well
here, though I could have done without more (near) r4pe (why the
f- is r-pe censored here?) scenes.
I enjoyed all of King's Landing and thought the scenes in the
Sept between Cersei and Margaery, and Cersei and the High
Sparrow were excellent. I did miss Cersei's chase scene through
the sept though, it would have been fun to see Lena Headey
running through the temple knocking down septas before being
overcome, but she killed it with the material they gave her.
Also I read the Tyene scene as her getting Bronn excited to
speed up the poisons effect, but it was a pretty cheap way to
get some more nudity. But I actually thought it was a good
scene, and the Sand Snakes were actually not terrible this
episode, which was a nice change.
