And all the book purists let out cries of anguish. Honestly have
no idea why people are so up in arms about it, at least this way
we are guaranteed the ending.

This doesnt bother me anymore, the series looks to be diverging
completely from the books this season anyway, so while the major
scenes will be included the journeys of the characters are going
to be completely different to the books.
I think we as the hardcore Harry Potter fans grew up learning
the ropes of adaptation disappointments so we are better
equipped to deal with this kind of thing.
It's gonna be fun to see the hardcore ASOIAF fans deal with
this, until it's not and half of the comments on all Game of
Thrones articles are angry book fans complaining how D&D are
ruining the series.

There are already tons of people whining about D&D.
It will be an oddly amusing moment when certain events are
spoiled on the show and the book purists have to hear show
watcher blab about it.

True, but I expect it will only get worse.
Also that censored word I used was hard core, took me a while to
figure out what I would have put there to get blocked out haha
