Marvel's lineup for Phase 3

Looks like the third Avengers will be split in 2 parts titled
'Infinity War', also they're starting new franchises for Dr.
Strange, Black Panther and Captain Marvel (I guess Benedict
Cumberbatch is almost confirmed for Dr. Strange).
Though I'm kinda surprised that there is no Iron Man 4 or Hulk
sequel amongst those films.

Really looking forward to the Doctor Strange film and hoping for
an Iron Man 4.

I made the most inhuman (speaking of.....) sound when I read
that today.
I freaking love Doctor Strange and Black Panther.
It'll be cool to see Carol Danvers (even though I am not a fan)
and have her finally on the Avengers line up.

Here's a teaser that they showed during the announcement. Gotta
say, I almost felt like crying tears of joy.

The market is pretty ridiculously oversaturated with superhero
properties now, both in film and TV.
Right now, I fucking love it and watch them all (except Gotham)
but can't help but wonder how long it will be before I
completely burn out on them.
It's a pretty fun experience this TV season to be watching three
equally as entertaining superhero shows (AOS, The Flash and
Arrow) but once the four Netflix series are released, plus
Constantine, plus Supergirl, plus Gotham (if it ever improves),
could become a bit much.

I honestly would rather see TV Shows. It works better for some
heroes than others, but I enjoy the experience of watching a
Hero-Villain relationship develop over a season much more than a
3 hour one and done film. Thats sort of always been my issue
with the big SuperHero movies, a villain pretty much is one and
done. There is hardly enough time in a an average Comic Book
movie for them to develop the Villains to the point where I
care.

I definitely agree that TV shows suit comic book adaptations so
much better. Special effects have gotten to the point where TV
shows are more than capable of pulling off set-pieces that are
suitably spectacular for even effects heavy superheroes. Look at
the latest episode of The Flash for example, that moment with
the train crash in slow-motion was so impressive and wouldn't
have been out of place in a Spider-Man movie, I have no idea
what the budget is on the CW shows, but I think it's a safe bet
that it's pretty small.

Arrow and Flash budget are definitely tiny compared to film. I'm
waiting for when a live action Batman focused TV series comes
about. Watching Batman and the Joker on television would be soo
satisfying. I sorta think thats what Gotham is all about,
setting up for the eventual Batman TV series. The dude who plays
Penguin should definitely stick around if thats the case.

Gothams wasted potential is so frustrating, they really need to
do a major time jump in season 2, make it like a year before
Batman arrives or something and show the city very close to the
tipping point crimewise. Season 3 can be Batmans first year, the
show can still focus on Gordon, just he'll be dealing with the
presence of Batman and more villains will appear. I don't need a
Batman focused Gotham, just a Gotham show where Batman exists,
because as it is it's more irritating in it's prequelitis than
Smallville ever was.

I don't really mind Gotham where it is now. Not a horrible show
at all and definitely has a lot of potential. The guy who plays
the Penguin is fantastic. I doubt we will see a major time jump
and thats okay if the show gets into the origins of the villains
as much as I hope. Is it as exciting as if Batman were involved?
Nope, but its alright.
