       Casting Update: Ides of Marsh?(Spoilers)

So apparently he is listed as appearing in 3 Episodes directed
by Mylod, Slovis, and Podeswa. That would mean the latest
Episode apperance for him would be Episode 6...
       My thoughts:
       1. "For the Watch" probably isn't going to be happening this
year. Episode 6 seems way too early to stab Jon, unless they
       show his revival this season.
       2. Increased probability of seeing the full Lord Commander
Election and a build up to "Fetch me a block"
       3. All I need now is Manderly and Val.

This makes me think that they're really starting to blur the
demarcation of the books. That really showed this season, but
the casting and stuff for next year shows it even more. It also
makes me wonder if ... I know this nuts ... they forgo the
assassination altogether and have something else happen to Jon
that has the same effect. Or if they stab him early next season
and go right from that to whatever happens next (which would
support the idea that Jon isn't dead).
The only reason the death is considered a cliffhanger is because
it IS a cliffhanger ... for a book. But if the boundaries of the
books are becoming even more blurred, it makes sense for one
book's cliffhangers to just be another episode on the show.
I think they'd have riots on their hands if they showed the
aftermath of the stabbing before WoW. So I'll say that they
either forgo it entirely, or they bumped it up to next season
and it won't be treated as much of a cliffhanger. Make of that
what you will vis a vis what it means in the book.

Yeah I can definitely see them forgoing the assassination
attempt for something else. Especially since they haven't
drilled all the prophecies into viewers heads.
I think instead of Jon being assassinated, they might just have
him dodge the attack and have Ghost protect him. I guess a lot
of it just depends on how Jon comes back. Does he wake up and
say "F'ck this I'm out" and drop the mic, do the Wildlings seize
control, etc. Aside from prophecy related stuff I think the
purpose of Jon's stabbing was to set him on a path away from the
       Night's Watch.
Also, speaking of crazy, I'd roll on the floor laughing if the
theory of Jon skinchanging into Wun Weg was true.

Alternatively, they might just use a more known character,
Aliser Thorne, to be Jon's central antagonist and eventual
       attacker.

I thought they might do that too, but then it begs the question
of why they'd keep Marsh in there at all, given that stabbing
Jon is basically his major outstanding achievement.

       Few Things:
       1. Seems like they are determined to finish Feast/Dance in one
       season.
       2. A glimmer of hope for those who want to see Griff and Young
       Griff.
       3. Seems more and more likely that Quentyn got the axe...
       4. Finn Jones seems pretty pumped for Season 5.

       1. I called this one ages ago, that they'd have to do both books
       in a season.
       2. I don't see how they can cut Aegon. I'm not saying they
won't, I'm just saying I can't think of how they could and not
       lose a huge plot point.
       3. Not surprising since he just goes over there to die; the
Dorne-Dany political intricacies would be lost on TV.
       4. Wonder if we'll actually see Loras on Dragonstone?

Yep. If the plan is 7 seasons they have to cover the majority of
Feast and Dance in one season. Probably for the best.
       Aegon:
       1. 'Secret' role like they originally listed Ramsay as 'Boy'.
       2. They save him for Season 6. I'd definitely prefer Season5
because if he arrives in Season6 it seems wayyy to late.
Although news of Aegon arriving in Westeros might be what gets
Dany to leave Essos in the show.
       3. They cut him because his impact is short lived.
We either see Loras on Dragonstone or we see some made up
material. If they include Loras and Dragonstone over Manderly
and Frey Pies I'd be supppppppppppppppeeeeeeerrrrr pissed.
