GoT S4 E2: The Lion and The Rose(Spoilers!)
By: codyesh2 Date: April 13, 2014, 8:59 pm

My favorite bits:
1. Joffrey's death
2. Bran using the Weirwood
3. Oberyn confronting Tywin and Cersei
4. Roose/Ramsay/Locke...and Fat Walda!
The show continues to do its amazing job at dropping small bits
from the book.
In a way it will be sad to see Jack Gleeson go, but that scene
was overdue.

So are they not introducing
Coldhands
at all?
At this point I doubt he will be making an appearance.
Maybe a brief shot of him later in the Season...A tad
disappointing but its not a horrible cut.
Not a very good episode. I liked most of the wedding stuff, but
everything else was subpar. The Shae stuff was horrible and it
made me want to pound my head on a wall real bad.

^ Yeah, I can see what they're trying to do with the Shae
scenes, but it's just too clunky and not working well at all.
Having her break down into tears after Tyrion told her she was
just a whore felt really out of character for her and was really
awkward to watch.
I thought everything to do with the wedding was absolutely
perfect, and Joffrey's death was exactly as brutal, shocking and
kind of pathetic as I wanted it to be. Cersei's reaction was
f'cking perfect as well, Lena Headey is easily one of my
favourites among the cast.
I wasn't that impressed with any of the other storylines though,
the less screen time Bran and co. get the better IMO.

So this episode now has an IMDb rating of 9.9/10... not really
surprising actually, but... yeah.

One of the primary antagonists die, its expected that people
rank that episode high.
Every scene with Shae is just 'Ugh'. I'm not an expert on the
art of acting nor have I seen her in anything else, but I just
don't think she can act at all.
The other storylines were alright. I enjoyed the
Ramsay/Reek/Roose/Locke/Fat Walda stuff. The problem with the
Bran scene and the scenes on Dragonstone are that they felt out
of place and are just setting up for later stuff. Bran and
Stannis probably won't have many scenes until later in the
season so I think its smart they included a couple of scenes
with them early on.
