Season 4 premiere and trailer info

April 6 premiere, trailer premieres this Sunday before "True
Detective." And it sounds like they might release a short
trailer or something earlier and the extended one Sunday. Kind
of vague.
I'm assuming this trailer is a TRAILER and not, like, the
"Chaos" thing with the character rotation from last season,
which was cool but not nearly enough. The marketing last year
was kind of disappointing; it was like mid-February before they
released the proper trailer with the MS MR song (I remember I
was in Boston when it launched). I dunno if anyone remembers,
but they had a ton of different trailers for the first season
and they've been progressively cutting back.
Now that the Red Wedding is over and I have nothing to really
dread, I'm pumped. Probably more pumped about this season than
any so far.

It could very easily be the best season yet just based on the
material they have on hand for this season.

Pending on future books, I think this season will have the best
shot to take home the most awards. Looking forward to sooooo
many things.
HBO recently announced that Boardwalk Empire Season 5 will be
its last...I'm going to assume a good percentage of that budget
for filming and marketing will go to Game of Thrones. It seems
like HBO genuinely wants to do this series justice and finish
the whole story. Plus, other than a certain character not
wanting to get naked anymore(totally reasonable) I don't think
I've heard of any of the cast members wanting out or having
problems with the show.
Excited for the trailer, the new season, and Winds of Winter. I
think if Martin can wrap up Winds of Winter this year then he
will be on a good pace to complete the series.

I don't want to get my hopes up, but stringing together snippets
I've seen from cons, cast members, etc., I would not be
surprised if WoW was out for next Christmas. Just a feeling.
I've seen where he's backing off of other commitments in order
to get it done, and I also think HBO would rather have the book
out before that season airs. Its release then can also dovetail
well with season 5 promos.

Exactly. I think it would be perfect if 'Winds of Winter' was
released on the first day of Winter. That or by the holidays.
Have you read 'The Princess and The Queen' yet? Its about the
first 'Dance'. I still have to download it.

I did read it, yeah.
Without giving too much away ...
1. It torpedoes the idea of Dany's dragons as some amazing
cure-all or ultimate weapon.
2. It makes the Targaryens as a whole look like complete pricks.
Neither side is "good" but both sides have decent people.
