       Hunger Games: Catching Fire

I saw it last night and it was fucking amazing! - I haven't read
the book yet but the movie did extremely well on its own.
According to the ones I saw it with the movie follows the book
perfectly and I'm gonna read it today when I get home.
But the acting really improved from the first one and it was
       shot beautifully.

I just came back from it. LOVED it. Did not disappoint. Hell, I
was even surprised with Claflin cuz I thought he was gonna suck
like he did in On Stranger Tides, but he did Finnick well.

She was one of the highlights of the film for me.
I really adored everything about the movie. It satisfied me as a
fan of the books and as a film goer. It was completely
wonderful. I could not be more positive about it. Loved loved
       loved it.

She was terrific as Johanna Mason. I've always liked her
disproportionately to the small amount of movies I've seen her
in. I think it's her voice.
And I loved the movie. I went in with pretty high expectations
and it didn't disappoint at all.

I thought it was a wonderful film. It was well directed, the
pacing was good and everyone was giving very committed and
strong performances. I wish they would, but they won't because
of the nature of the film; Jennifer Lawrence is nomination
worthy in the film. Elizabeth Banks is also giving a very
emotional and layered performances, I loved seeing the cracks in
her characters facade and how she was waking up from the haze.

I liked it but I actually found it poorly paced. I realize the
book didn't really lend itself to a film adaptation structurally
but it really dragged in the beginning for me. Jena Malone's
bitch face was like a shining beacon of awesome in the movie.
       She is awesome.

I thought it was pretty great. Definitely better than the first.
I think it did a really good job of laying out the politics of
Panem without it feeling too much like exposition. Like it was
weaved into the story nicely enough, it just made the film
really long. Speaking of, I felt like the beginning was too long
and the end too short. But then I thought about the source
material and the book had that same problem. The games at the
end of Catching Fire were rushed. And unfortunately it carried
       over into the film...
But I thought the scenery and art direction was fun, the
performances were great, and it really made the rebellion feel
like it was building throughout the film until it pretty much
exploded. But did the score bother anybody else? It was straight
out of DH2 and I couldn't get over it. And aside from my small
issue with the pacing, it was pretty clear all the night scenes
were filmed during the day and CGI'd to be night and that kinda
       irked me.
And I thought Jena Malone was pretty great. Growing up and as a
teen she was always in movies I tended to enjoy (Contact,
Dangerous Lives of Alter Boys, Donnie Darko, Saved!, Pride &
Prejudice) so I was glad she was cast in something big and fun.
She seems to really relish the role. She kind of grates me a bit
nowadays, and her involvement in Suckerpunch made me sad, but it
was nice to see this career choice pan out.
