A discussion of Voldemort, Hitler, and the Holocaust

So here I am currently in the library attempting to write an
essay for my Historical Methods class. My brain is fried from
sitting here in the library for the past two and a half hours,
and inspired by the Harry Potter soundtrack blazing in my
headphones and recent readings from my 337 Holocaust class, my
mind turns to the obvious similarities between Voldemort and
Hitler (and Himmler's thoughts of those with "Good blood").
I'll post some of my thoughts and questions here.
I would love to know more about the structure of the Ministry of
Magic. Are there different political parties? I also wonder if
Voldemort ever tried to gain any political power (such as
Hitler) or some other authority other than wanting to be a
professor at Hogwarts. Or were the Death Eaters rather a
nuisance group like the modern day WBC? Obviously they had some
higher intentions, as they wanted to rid of all muggles and
muggleborns. Or maybe it was more like the second time around
where he put more political wizards into the Ministry to garner
influence.
If Voldemort was successful in the killing of Harry Potter, what
were his plans then? After Voldemort rose again in the 4th book
to before the final battle in the 7th, could this be categorized
as an einsatzgruppen phase? Where there was no real systematic
liquidation of muggleborns and muggles, instead it was Voldemort
and Death Eaters getting rid of the muggleborns and muggles in
their way. Was there to be a "Final Solution" of Muggles?
I also think of the similarities of those the Death Eaters and
Nazi party targeted. Not only muggleborns, muggles, and Jews,
but as well as political opponents (The Longbottoms, those
associated with the Order, "Blood Traitors," the Lovegoods for
their publications (could one also argue that they could be
targeted for simply being eccentric?))
Which brings me to the point of Wizarding genetics. Is this even
a thing in the Wizarding World? It is known of the bogus Nazi
propaganda of identifying Jews and Aryans, so I wonder if there
was any of that in the WW.
