Rupert Grint's Super Clyde pilot
By: StealYellowMen Date: October 8, 2013, 11:05 pm

So CBS decided not to develop Super Clyde into a series, but
they actually released the pilot online if anyone is interested.
Its a shame they didn't pick up because it has potential and I'd
probably watch it. Rupert Grint, Stephen Fry, Greg Garcia. I'm
into it. Not that it even really matters.
At least watch it for Rupert's American accent.
This link probably wont work for anyone outside the US, but you
guys are resourceful:

Just watched it and I'm absolutely infuriated. This pilot may
not have been hilarious, but it was heartfelt and sweet, and I
could tell quickly that it was a Greg Garcia show. It felt a LOT
like My Name is Earl and I really like the cast. Rupert Grint,
Stephen Fry, AND Tyler Labine? Ugh, the fact that this show was
passed on while absolute excrement like The Millers was picked
up disgusts me almost to the point of physical illness. I hope
CBS realized just how badly they fucked up and decide to produce
the show anyway.

I think it was passed on specifically for The Millers. Like they
produced both pilots at the same time and chose The Millers.
Which is crazy, but feels like typical CBS. Super Clyde was
probably just too quirky for the network, which generally likes
its sitcoms to be conventional or, in the case of 2 Broke Girls,
raunchy and kind of racist/sexist. HIMYM was the exception but
now its terrible.
Watching it, Super Clyde felt like it should have been on Fox or
ABC. Or even NBC because who know what NBC is doing anymore. Its
disappointing that the show didn't end up with one of them
because then I could see it getting green-lit for at least 13
episodes.

Yea I am super pumped for CBS' eventual downfall from network
television domination. They don't deserve it with the filth
they produce, especially now knowing what they gave up to
produce it. This pilot was awesome and has a ton of potential.
However, although I love Garcia's work, it's not like any of his
shows have been wildly successful. CBS likes longevity in their
shows, what with Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, and HIMYM.
It is a surprise they even picked up The Millers considering
Garcia's track record.
Although Raising Hope was cleared for a 4th season, I'll be
shocked if it makes it to 5.

So... apparently I live in Narnia ::)
But yes it sucks it got cut off like that especially when it was
already filmed. Would've been a nice way to see Rupert back in
action. Hopefully they figure out a way to broadcast the show
somehow.
