They're doing a live show announcing the 12th Doctor this Sunday

Simulcasting on BBC1 and BBC America, 7pm here which I think is
about 2pm est? Possibly.
To be honest I totally don't see the point, and I think the BBC
are just short of shows at the moment :/ I was hoping I wouldn't
find out until the regeneration (and that it wouldn't be
revealed until then) but now it's going to be unavoidable - not
only on Facebook, twitter and tumblr but also it's the kind of
thing that makes our national news.
Also they're getting Zoe Ball to present it who is literally the
least likely British presenter I would ever associate with
something like this. It looks like it's going to be really odd.

What the hell is the point of this show if every time there's a
twist or something interesting happening they release the
information in a glorified tv special? Isn't it better to see
who the new doctor is WHEN IT HAPPENS or to not know a companion
is leaving until they're gone? I realize that nowadays this type
of information about contracts is released to the public early
but it really ruins the excitement of the show. Also, I really
hate the "List" specials they do. I hate those countdown type
things with a bunch of talking heads.
