The Rings of Akhaten

I liked this. It wasn't without it's faults, but there was some
genuine tension and I felt we got a lot more of what Clara's
actually about rather than just some girl. Her mum was a bit
ridiculously perfect but it's a child's memory of a lost parent
so it's going to be honey coated.
I thought the delivery of the line 'oh my stars' was terribly
deadpan by her mum, and if it turns into a catchphrase of
Clara's it'll really grate on me, it just seemed a bit too
let's-give-her-a-thing!
Now that the big alieny centre has imploded, what are the rings
going to orbit around? Surely they'll just mush off into space
and the rings are basically destroyed?

The episode was alright, but I really disliked the ending. I'm
always bothered by stuff like this and especially the season 3
finale against The Master, with its deus ex machina spiritual
victory stuff defeating the villains.
