Really wish Bigelow and Affleck were nominated. Oh well. I love
all the recognition Beasts is getting. This film is about to
blow up now.
It's really weird seeing Bradley Cooper and Hugh Jackman as
nominees now.
And I'm so glad my man Robert De Niro finally made a comeback.

I'm loving the mix up this year. I'm really happy. It kind of
throws a bit of a curve ball since the race has been pretty
standard so far.

Very true.
I know Daniel Day-Lewis is a frontrunner, but I would REALLY
like to see Denzel win.
I also noticed Django didn't get an editing nod, which was
probably the film's biggest flaw.

If Daniel Day Lewis wasn't so damn good in Lincoln, Washington
would be my win.
Also this year means that Thomas Newman got his 11th nomination,
and Deakins got his 10th. I really hope Deakins wins this year.

Yeah I haven't seen Lincoln yet, so I don't have much room to
judge. But I just loved Denzel's performance in Flight so much.
I also still have to see Life of Pi and SLP.
And it's a shame Leo didn't get nominated, it was honestly one
of his best performances.

This is going to be the first year in a while that I've seen
most of the nominees. I'm excited. I do wish Affleck got a nod
for best director though, I really enjoy his movies.

Also loving Eiko Ishioka getting nommed for Costumes after they
didn't include her in the memoriam last year.

Affleck and Bigelow were two people EVERYONE thought was getting
nominated. Insane. The academy has been surprising us like this
for a few years now.

Well I haven't seen Zero Dark Thirty yet, I'm going tomorrow
night, but I really did expect one for Argo (in directing), but
oh well.
