DEAR GOD THAT ENDING. I've never been this excited to see
what'll happen next on this show.

Yeah, the episode itself was okay, nothing spectacular but not
awful, but the ending was very good. I'm even more confused than
I was before, which was unexpected. The 'coming soon' looked
great too :)

Was kind of "just ok" with it up until the ending, then I loved
it. I love a good ghost story, and even though it's probably
something timey wimey I'm going to pretend it's paranormal for
the moment.
BTW this was easily the best part:

It was just a set up episode vs the normal standalone special. I
love me some Vastra/Jenny, and the sheer fact they are married
make me happy. Also CELIA FREAKING IMRIE will be on this
season!!!!!

Lets not forget that Lily Evans was in this episode.
Do you guys like Clara/Oswin from what we've seen of her so far?
I like where her story is headed but I'm not sure if I like her
character or not, it's too early to say.
I'm also interested to know where this leaves the Doctor and
River. Was that minisode last season their last date and
therefor the Snowmen takes place after that, as in the Doctor is
done with River? But she said in the Tardis after Amy and Rory
died that she'd travel with him occasionally... gah... I like
River but the story would feel very stuck if she kept coming on
again and again, although I have no idea how'd they'd write her
off with a proper goodbye seeing as she technically already had
one.
Edit: If I wind up disliking Clara I'm going to blame it on how
much I loved Amy as a companion. Amy and Donna are my favs.

Ya, Lily has really grown.
I will be very curious to see where Clara is headed. I like
Clara because we have not had someone so quick whited since
Donna (my fav). I read somewhere that Oswin an and acronym for
Snowin and that she is just recreating her self. I had a feeling
that she was going to die in every episode, but after the
preview I think this is the end for her deaths.

Lily has grown? She looks the same, except a little taller.
I've liked Oswin since her first appearence. I hope she doesn't
become another Rory and die every episode.
The Christmas Specials are usually ones were you can miss but
not this one especially the ending with Oswin.
Goddamnit, Jenna-Louise Coleman is so cute. Finally we get a hot
brunette. Loved Karen, she was gorgeous, hated Rose, Martha was
OK, Donna was annoying Karen was hot, now we have Jenna. Too bad
the Doctor can't have both at the same time.

You think Coleman is hot? She's got a weird shaped head, she's
cute in that she looks like a toy doll. Karen is hot, definite
girl crush there.

I love Donna for so many reasons, not least because she was a
lead female who had absolutely no interest in The Doctor as more
than a friend and had her own personality. Although what I've
seen of Coleman so far is good, this is the fifth time we've had
a 21st century female companion in New Who, and if you include
River, it's the fifth time there's been some kind of attraction
sub-text. It just seems so cliched and repetitive to me.
I'm hoping I'll be pleasantly surprised - I'm a big fan of
Doctor Who, but recently I've felt a little disenfranchised with
the show, especially this series where they seemed to be trying
to appeal to the American audience* a lot more since the start
of simultaneous broadcasting on BBC America and changed a lot of
the things that were typical of Who.
The 'coming soon' did look really cool though, I just hope they
give things enough time to develop rather than cram a whole load
of ideas into one episode
(this tumblr post from Liam sums up a lot of how I felt during
the Christmas special -

*obviously not necessarily a bad thing if done right, but I've
felt a couple of times it's stepped away from its usual style
and towards fairly cliched plots/twists/arcs/love triangles
you'd find in the load of bland predictable Hollywood films, and
it could be so much better than that :\
