The Angels Take Manhattan

Oh God so many feels.
I was watching with my parents in the room so I didn't actually
cry, but inside I was sobbing.
A really good end to the story of the Ponds, the right amount of
silly and sad, and I thought River was well written for a
change. The Doctor's reaction when he realised Amy was leaving
really tugged at my heart strings.
I have to go out now and meet a friend who is a fan but hasn't
had the chance to watch it yet and I don't know how I'm going to
hold it together aaaghh.

It just finished it's air on BBC America here.
Sobbing. Pretty much tears since Rory ran up the stairs at
Winterquay and then when they jumped off it was just straight up
ugly crying until the end. It was such a good episode though and
such a good ending. I loved it, but damn this is why I watch
mostly comedies. Television hasn't made me cry in a looong time.

Oh god that was heart wrenching...
Ugh, the slow motion jumping off scene was when I gave in. Then
when she was giving her last farewell in the graveyard. Then
when he was reading her letter, it was a happy crying sad
feeling. I'm a mess.
I think the little detail that really struck me the most was how
her letter and gravestone said Amelia Williams. Not Amy Pond.
She gave up being called Amelia because she felt it was a bit
too "fairytale". And despite being married, she still went by
'Pond'. Even Rory went by Pond. I don't know, maybe I'm just
being silly, but I thought a lot was implied with her using her
real married name.
I'm trying not to reblog everything DW related on Tumblr in my
fit of emotions and stuff. But screw it.

I went on a Doctor Who spam spree.
I was going to watch the finale again at midnight because my
sobbing drowned out a bit of the episode but I don't think I
can. I was so embarrassed that I made Will leave for work early
so I could cry without judgement :D.

I'm glad I watched it alone for the first time. My sister loves
DW, so now I'm prepared to watch it with her, who hasn't seen it
yet. Hopefully I won't fall apart again since I know what's
coming.

Yeah it's like in the first episode this series when she signed
the divorce papers she signed them Amy Williams, which I thought
was a great little nod to how much she still loved him.
I want to watch it again but I don't think I'm emotionally up to
it :\
I knew they'd survive the jump because I don't think they can
really put suicide in a BBC 'family' show, but if they'd
survived all together I'd have found it a really tacky ending,
but when I saw the angel in the background in the graveyard I
knew.

I thought it was a wonderfully written episode, Probably the
strongest of the Moffat era.
In regards to the end, it was to easy. We knew something was
going to happen, I just didn't think they would do the thing
that would haunt you the most.
It absolutely broke my heart when Amy reached out with River and
said "Melody, you look after him and be a good girl and you look
after him."
