Harry Potter round at quiz night tonight!

10/10 woot! I would have been sooooo ashamed of myself if I had
gotten one wrong, especially because as soon as it was
announced, I grabbed the answer sheet and said, "I GOT THIS!" I
was actually disappointed by how easy the questions were. I felt
like a lot of other groups got most of them right too and we
would have done better if they were harder. Here were the
questions:
1. Name the three Unforgivable Curses.
2. What is the name of the pub that is the entrance to Diagon
Alley?
3. How many players on a Quidditch team?
4. What animal is Hufflepuff's mascot.
5. What subject did Dumbledore teach at Hogwarts?
6. What do wizards use as means of personal communication?
7. What were the first names of Harry's parents?
8. What is Padfoot's real name?
9. How did Harry and Ron get to Hogwarts in their 2nd year?
10. What did Hagrid name his pet dragon?
See what I mean about them being too easy? But it was still
cool. And the round after it was Disney songs, so we got all of
those right too. It was basically like they chose these 2 rounds
specifically for my husband and me. We ended up winning because
of them. Very glad we decided to go tonight!

Ha that's awesome. But I could see how some of those would be
hard to someone who has just seen the movies or hasn't read the
books in a while or are just causal fans. For us they're
obviously way easy, though.

Yeah. That was the only one I thought was difficult.
I guess there are a lot of HP nerds where I went to school,
because the host even commented on how well every team did on
the round.
