HG reference in Futurama

The most recent episode of Futurama, when Nixon was campaigning
for re-election as Earth President, loads of people were in the
crowd holding banners from their countries and one of them said
'Panem'.
I thought it was pretty cool - here's a gif of it

I actually noticed that sign and still didn't make the
connection haha. I also like 'Old Zealand', man I've been
missing Futurama.
