Jena Malone in talks for Johanna

I'm down. Mostly because this chick was in a ton of great movies
and she hasn't done much lately except Sucker Punch and
Hatfields & McCoys. I felt like she really had something going
and then she just sort of fell off the radar. So I'm mostly
hoping she gets it because I wanna see her make a comeback of
sorts.

I never really got into her, but I can see her as Joanna. I
think Finnick's casting is the one everyone's waiting for.

Yeah agreed about Finnick. No matter who is cast, all hell is
gonna break lose.
As for Malone. I wasn't a huge fan of her or anything. I just
thought she showed promise from a young age (Stepmom, Contact)
up through her teens and was interested to see where she would
go. And she's been in movies that I've really responded to
throughout my life.

She's been in a lot of indies in the past few years. She seems
like the kind of actress that fell off the radar after she got
past her "I can play a teen" years and delved into indie cinema.
She's totally under utilized and I think it's great that she'll
get more exposure from THG. She can play a snarky bitch better
than anyone.

Wasn't Johanna's strategy in her first games to look all weak
and innocent at first then surprise everyone with her brutality?
I think Malone could pull it off no problem. She has a very
soft, innocent face that supports that idea. Looking like that
and being able to play a "snarky bitch" would fit well with
Johanna.

Yeah I saw that. I'm cool with it. Good for her. Like I said,
she was talented as a youngster/teen and I'd like to see her do
well as an adult. And I think she's good for the role.
With her and Philip Seymour Hoffman, we just wait on Finnick...

I actually like her for this role. Especially after seeing her

I've only seen her in Donnie Darko, but I suppose she could do
alright. She's not really how I pictured Johanna, I'm just
disappointed it wasn't offered to Allison Brie haha.
