It has a tough road to be better than Spider-Man 2. And I dunno,
it looks fun and everything, but I just can't get that worked up
over it. I have a feeling that it'll be dwarfed by The Avengers
on one end and The Dark Knight on the other. :-\

I actually really didn't like the Raimi films. Thought 1 was ok,
2 was crap and 3... well yeah. So it won't take a whole lot for
me to like this one better.

I didn't mind the first 2 Raimi films, but I could never get
over the atrocious casting of Peter and Mary Jane.
I actually hated that, but I didn't mind the rest of those 2
movies.
Garfield is way closer the Peter of the comics, thankfully.

I never really liked the Spider Man movies too much. Hopefully I
will like this one better, but I know I will favor TDKR because
I like Batman and Nolan more.

I would love for this film to surprise me, but I sorta don't see
it happening. I saw one review describe it as "Twilight in
spandex" and was wondering how that was considered a good thing.

The Twilight comparisons have been around ever since the first
pictures of Peter were released. All because of his goddamn
hair. I'm thoroughly convinced it about as similar to Twilight
as Hunger Games was.
