Question about Mockingjay ending (spoilers, obviously)

So I was just wondering why Katniss elected to have another
Hunger Games and said it was for Prim. Maybe I'm remembering
incorrectly (though I only finished it 2 months ago), but I
never thought that made sense, though it's definitely
interesting to think about. But I'm assuming her assasinating
Coin was representative of Katniss changing her mind.

I think Katniss was so warped and beaten down by that point that
she just became really bitter towards the Capital and Snow. She
was suffering from major PTSD and wanted an eye for an eye
justice. I don't know if she necessarily changed her mind about
having a Capital based HGs when she killed Coin, but she
basically decided that Coin was just another version of Snow,
and that her motivation for the new HGs came from the same place
and the same fear of losing power.
I don't remember but wasn't it Snow that confirmed the bombs
that killed Prim were from District 13 and not the Capital?
I think Katniss' thinking was kind of simple. She wanted to hurt
whoever hurt Prim.

I think this is pretty much it.
I thought the ending was way too cluttered and rushed, it could
have used a couple more chapters I think.

She didn't want another HG, she wanted an opportunity to kill
Coin.
