       I'm rereading now

I haven't been able to reread this in about five or six years
because my book fell apart but I got a new one! yay!
I remember this being the first HP book I read cover to cover.

I tried to re-read it, but getting past the World Cup is
       just.................

The thing I like about GOF is that it's structured a bit
differently than the other books. It's the bridge book, the
       other's have a mate (PS/DH, COS/HBP, POA/OOTP). It really
       connects the other six.
The World Cup was long but at least it was interesting. I can
get through GOF rereads, it's OOTP that always makes me want to
       quit.

OotP was the first one I read cover-to-cover. GoF came out right
after I started reading the books. I actually usually lose
interest in a reread during DH. I think I've only read DH
through once or twice, whereas I've read books 1-4 dozens of
times and 5 & 6 several times. I try to reread the entire series
       once a year.
