I just saw that. I stopped watching, but it would have been nice
for them to give it a second season.
In other news, Community, Parks and Rec, and Happy Endings were
all renewed. Not to mention Mindy Kaling's show got picked up on
Fox. So I'm a happy clam.

Good. Honestly, I'm happy. I felt it was relying to heavily on
that typical procedural crime drama formula. And I'm tired of
that. I mean, really, they couldn't find out a way to make a
psychologically deep show about a man who lives in two realities
without him being a detective?

Damn, I heard the Pilot was amazing for that show, but once I
heard it turned into a procedural show I decided not to check it
out, I guess I didn't miss much.
I'm pretty much done with procedural shows, that's what put me
off Alcatraz after I watched the first episode and Fringe as
well, although Fringe at least had a few arcs going.

I actually liked Awake, though I agree they should have kept the
focus on the two realities.
Parks and Rec.'s short season just got extended to a full season
btw.
I also read that one of the 30 Rock writers is moving to New
Girl. I'm really interested to see how that plays out for NG
because I think the show could use someone a bit more
interesting than Liz Merriwether. After watching her interviewed
at Paleyfest I've come to the conclusion that she's a huge ditz.
She made it seem like they focus on one episode at a time
without having any sort of big picture, which is IMO one of the
show's biggest drawbacks. It's nice to have a half hour of
comedy that is light on plot but New Girl's is almost
non-existent.

I'm not disappointed because Person of Interest and Grimm are
getting second seasons. I just hope they don't leave any
cliffhangers like they did with The Finder. The end of that
series is like the end of ALF all over again.
