Do you think there will be a reboot or any new movies?

My roommates and I just were discussing whether or not there
will be any new Star Wars movies or if there will be a reboot in
our life time. What do you guys think?
I hope they do remake the movies and possibly make a new trilogy
featuring the next generation of Skywalkers.

But, I'm sure Lucas will find a way to tinker with it
eventually.

Idk I think they would be able to make them a lot better. It
wouldn't be the same though.

Yeah, what Dayna said. I sure hope not, but it will probably
happen. I don't think I'd ever watch a reboot though.
The next generation of Skywalkers needs to remain just a book
series.

The OT? I don't think there's such a thing as better for the OT.
Even with some if it's cheesy dialogue and Ewoks they're such
classic movies that it would be blasphemous to remake them.
People flip their shit when little things are changed in those
movies, they wouldn't respond well to a complete remake/reboot.

They won't remake them, at least not for many many years, and
really there's no reason to, there's so much other great things
they could do with the Star Wars universe to make great films.
They could make a reboot set in a whole new time period either
way before or way after the saga, look at how awesome the
storyline's are in the KOTOR games, I'd love a movie set in that
time.
They could make a movie that featured Yoda's home planet and
showed him before he became a master.
There are so many possibilities of great movies that could be
made in the Star Wars universe, but I think they should stay
away from the Clone Wars or Original Trilogy era, although I'm
fine with the animated TV series set during the Clone Wars and
if they ever make that live action series set in between Episode
3 and Episode 4 I think it'd be great, but no feature films and
definitely no remakes.
