Apparently there are eight total directors on the list, and
those are three of them. They're all men and they're all
       "quality."

Is Michael Bay on the list as a joke?
Any of those three would make a very interesting sequel that
could pretty easily top the first.

I saw that. Although I'm not a Cronenberg fan, that list is
       crazy impressive.
If Cuaron gets it, I might wet myself. But really any director
of that caliber would be totally fine by me.

Can't remember where I saw it but I thought I saw something
about Joss Whedon wanting in as well.

Honestly, I was thinking "Cuaron Cuaron Cuaron" the entire time
       I spent reading the series.

From that list, I'd be okay with Bigelow, Cuaron, and O'Connor.

Where are you getting Bigelow and O'Connor? I assume you mean
Gavin O'Connor. They make a joke about the list being all men
("Sorry, Kathryn Bigelow fans") and I don't see O'Connor
       mentioned anywhere at all.

Oh, I was looking at the slideshow with the directors suggested
as to why they should and shouldn't do it. They also had
Fincher, Malick, and Bay among them, and I saw Bigelow and
O'Connor in there and I think they'd do a fine job.

       Cuaron, Cuaron, Cuaron, Cuaron, Cuaron.
       Alfonso Cuaron would be great.
Gonzalez also did a good job with Babel so either would work.
