       Never noticed there was a man name Peter Pettigrew sleeping with
       Ron every night on the Mauraders Map?

       I maintain that they didn't see him because they weren't looking
       for Ron. When they were out and about getting into trouble, they
       were checking for teachers, not looking at the boys' dormitory.
       Keep in mind there are hundreds of students at Hogwarts, so
       there are tons of dots to look at.
