Damn. That is amazing. Good for her, Cannes on her first go
isn't too shabby at all :P
The film sounds like the type of movie I'd love.

I don't think her film is part of the main festival, but it's
       still pretty badass and gutsy.

Probably not since it's a short but still, to have your student
film project be associated with Cannes is amazing.
       I hope it's available online!

Agreed on both points. What is becoming clear is that she's
gonna be very serious and very aggressive about her career.
It's been fascinating watching everything she's done since
announcing that she's going to film school unfold. It seems
like she's got quite the chess match going. Like, with
Geography of the Hapless Heart...we initially were sort of like
"how nice...Bonnie did a short...that should be good for her".
Well, she did the thing with Douglas Booth and Matthew McNulty,
both of whom seem to be on the rise now. And then every time we
hear new actors introduced for new segments, the names and
credibility kept getting bigger and bigger. Same with
Philosophers. I'm kinda wondering if James D'Arcy isn't about
to make a run. Then we hear that she was making a short for
school and were like "how nice, her senior project...good for
her" only to find out it's featuring David Thewlis and is going
       to a Cannes event.
Even the Twitter accounts she setup...it's clever the way she
did it. She setup one for her short and it has nothing about
her name in it, so you can't use it to talk about her personally
very effectively. And then she setup a second one, that she
named and has heavily branded for a world hunger charity, and
all she talks about is that charity. So, a) it makes it clear
that she has no intentions of using it to tell us what she had
for breakfast or that funny thing her boyfriend said the other
day, b) if someone tries to use it to bash her, they're not
only going to basically be advertising Bonnie's charity but
they're going to look like an asshole because it's a charity
account. It's made of win all the way around.
The more I'm seeing, the more I'm impressed with her. I mean,
we'll see how it is once we actually start seeing movies. But,
it definitely seems like she's pretty clever.

Kinda given but to make it even more official and I hope we get
       some pics/interviews of her there:
[quote]SnitchSeeker has received exclusive word from Bonnie
Wright's representatives that she will indeed be attending this
year's Cannes Film Festival to headline the world premiere of
her directorial debut, Separate We Come, Separate We Go. The
film festival, situated in the south of France, will take place
from May 16-27, 2012; it is unknown when Bonnie will arrive to
attend, but she is confirmed to be at the festival.
The Cannes Film Festival has Separate We Come, Separate We Go,
starring Harry Potter costar David Thewlis, listed on their
schedule, though with no premiere date; we will update as soon
as we receive word on that.
