I saw that. The most "What the fuck?" one to me was the privacy
and the Marauders' Map, namely ... who the hell did Fred and
George think was sleeping with Ron every night? Did they not
look at the map and see Ron and also Peter Goddamn Pettigrew and
wonder who that was? Even to ask Ron, "Hey Ron, who's this Peter
guy you're always with?"

Yeah, that definitely threw me for a loop. I mean, they had to
see it ???

The only explanation I can think of for that is, with hundreds
of students, ghosts and staff members, they only paid attention
to the ones close to where they were sneaking about. Maybe they
just never bothered to see where Ron was. I doubt they spent
hours studying it just to see where everyone was.

Yeah, that was always my own personal explanation for it. They
didn't care about who was in Gryffindor Tower sleeping or who
Ron was walking to class with. They were worried about authority
figures and getting caught.
Also, the one about the Ministry knowing when you did things. I
always thought it was that they knew if magic happened in a
certain area, but not who did it. Like the fact that Dobby
performed magic that Harry got in trouble for. He had the trace
and they knew it was a muggle home/neighborhood so the fact that
magic happened led them to believe it HAD to be Harry. If one of
the Weasleys at the Burrow performed magic (as I always assumed
Fred and George were doing when working on Wheezes) the ministry
wouldn't really care too much or know who performed it because
it was a magical home. And it was up to Arthur and Molly to keep
their kids in check. Right...?

Pretty horribly researched article IMO. I know cracked is all in
good fun but with the exception of the map and some aspects of
number 1, nearly everything on that list could be refuted by the
books.
The painting one in particular, portraits can talk like the Fat
Lady and the headmasters but photographs, like Lockhart or
Harry's parents cannot.
and yeah, the twins probably weren't keeping tabs on Ron and
even if they glanced a Peter Pettigrew on the map they wouldn't
have known who it was. The bigger logic hole is how Fred and
George never investigated who the "heir of Slytherin" was.

The idea of what would happen if someone made a painting of
Voldemort is actually interesting, although it sounds like
something that could happen in a terrible Harry Potter 8.

Voldemort made into a portrait that can potentially influence
real life people to do his dirty work and return him to his
body... that's the exact plot of Ghostbusters 2.
