when they are starving in the tent, I know they can't
transfigure random shit into food. but why the fuck can't they
use magic to hunt and kill potential food? i.e. squirrel, deer,
dove, etc.? It's not that hard to cook, just add fire. Also,
if they could transfigure some food into somewhat better food,
why didn't they just take leaves and make a fucking magically
epic salad.

That and you can multiply amounts of food, so there really is no
reason for anyone to be starving or the Weasley's to be poor, if
food is basically of no value to a wizard.

I'm glad they removed this aspect from the movies because it
really doesn't make any sense, they also could have quite easily
put on the invisibility cloak and taken some food from a
supermarket, but whatever.
It also never made sense that the Weasley's and Lupin could have
dirty, frayed and patchy clothing when they are bloody wizards
and surely know spells to fix them up.
But I can understand that JK Rowling needed some way to have an
upper and lower class division in the wizarding community.
